Braves Re-signed 2 Veterans
After the Sean Murphy injury, the Braves were left pretty thin at the MLB front, so they went out and grabbed an established veteran to stash at AAA, signing Sandy Leon to an MiLB contract.
Prior to Opening Day, the Braves brought Jesse Chavez home and, in turn, let Jackson Stephens seek employment elsewhere. I’m sure Stephens tried to find a Major League deal out there, came up empty, and returned to the Braves. Both guys will report to Gwinnett.

Glad we got the game in, but I’m not sure anyone told the bats! Lopez looking good so far. As I recall, the biggest issue with him when he was coming up with the Nationals was control. Seems okay so far (though he made a pretty awful brain fart by disengaging three times in one at-bat and letting a guy get an automatic free base).
I always give the offence a pass in these conditions. It can’t be fun trying to react to a fastball in temperatures just above freezing (3C right now).

Anyway, good for Lopez – these White Sox aren’t a good team, but he did a pretty good job in his first game in the uniform.
