Traditionally, Braves Journal has tried to address that question with a series of essays from our doughty band of enthusiasts. I expect that to still happen, but I want to expand the pundit universe to include everybody. So here’s an experiment.

I solicit everyone to propose to write a short essay for Braves Journal. I’ll even accept Our New Insect Overlord’s proposed essay on appropriate tribunals for Alex Anthopolous. You can write about a single player, a group of players, a position, a group of positions, free agent rosterbation, changes in the radio booth — whatever.

Write me at jonathanf@bravesjournal.com (I just paid for this email address, so if nobody writes me I know what needs to be done next year — dropping the email server). Tell me what you want to write about. I’ll accept duplications unless everyone wants to write about food choices at Truist. I may also solicit a few extra essays if some areas are left open.

I reserve the right to edit your essays, but everyone who’s seen my editing knows that my first impulse is to let you say whatever the hell you want.

Again: jonathanf@bravesjournal.com.
