Let me Apologize to anyone who I offended. Seriously.
Since I wasn’t on Bravesjournal all night, I had no way of knowing that Stu was kidding and felt he was being serious. I think it needs to be understood by everyone that none of us, not even Mac, are on all the time. We all have varying amounts of time in our lives when we can or cannot log onto BravesJournal.
I spend a lot of time in the evenings with my wife so I cannot be on that much, unless she’s out with girlfriends or watching other things.
I would also add that when I made comments defending a women having the ability to workon a medical staff on a team, I felt it was right and I was trying to be a nice guy.
I would also add that for a year and a half, I have been given lots of grief by Stu and not by anyone else. We all are capable of annoying one another and I am not saying I don’t throw daggers back. I have a big mouth myself, no question and I am far from a perfect person.
But I do feel Stu has gone out of his way to throw daggers at me and fine…I agree that I need to not be so sensitive and take more, maybe just dish it back out. I am just incredibly frustrated having gone through this before with Stu. I also can be sensitive and when it feels like one person wants to upset you, whether it’s actually the case or in my own head (or a combination of both things), you lose all sense of ration and become incredibly hrut & angry.
I think everyone on here can see my interaction with anyone and know that not only is this an important place for me (because of my long friendship with Mac), but also because I am a Braves fan and I consider it (at heart) a pleasure to be in the company of other Braves fan…delighting in the good times and sharing our pain when LaRoche strikes out or Reitsma blows a save.
And yeah, maybe I was just simply angry as well that we lost to the stinking Brewers and simply couldn’t hit.
Either way, having read some of the other daggers thrown by other folks on here, all directed at me, no matter what Stu’s intentions are or were, then I apologize to the other posters on here.
I love the Braves and want to feel comfortable coming in here to chat. If people are uncomfortable with me, so be it, I apologize and will move on per your wishes.
But I also feel that my loyalty to the Braves and love for my buddy Mac are why I was with him and encouraged him in the first place when he first decided to start what is now one of the best Blogs on the Internet.
I am putting myself out here and if enough of you tell me to leave, then fine. But I wanted you to understand why I have been continually frustrated with one person. The truth is, when I made the decision to be a regular poster in here again, in my heart and my head, I actually looked forward to burying any bad feelings with Stu and starting anew–with a solid, mutual respect.
Again, my apologies to all & go Braves.

rb…you didn’t miss anything…I just know alex has contempt for LaRoche and wanted to cheer him up.
Trust me I type with tongue firmly planted in cheek quite often.
Is anyone else really excited to see if Hudson can keep things going after his stellar performance against the Mets? At the end of the day, we need him and Smoltzie to be Rocks at the top of that rotation. Otherwise we will be in for a long season.
I have to admit, “Stu” and “Disco” are now permanently linked in my conscious. If we played word association, one would always suggest the other.

..and now for a change of topic:
I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned it on here before or not, but in AAU ball, the East Cobb Yankees won several consecutive national championships from 1999-2002. Based out of Atlanta, this AAU team (as opposed to say, basketball, which some scouts say hurts skill sets) was basically a scout’s dream – listen to who all was on this team (that I can find, you guys might be able to find others and list them too)
C – Brian McCann
1B – Micah Owings? (Owings was an ace pitcher at Ga Tech and was a 2nd-rd pick of the Rockies)
2B – Marshall Szabo (Szabo was a star 2B at UGA, was drafted by the Indians)
SS – Stephen Drew (JD’s younger brother was drafted #15 overall by the Diamondbacks in the 04 ammy draft)
3B – Jeremy Hermida? (Hermida is currently on the DL, but is the Florida Marlins top prospect)
RF – Jeff Francoeur
CF – not sure
LF – Blaine Boyer
The pitching staff included Owings, Boyer, and their #2 starter was a kid named Kyle Davies.
(The #1 starter on this team was a kid named Allen Ponder, who won two consecutive MVP awards with the team before going to Alabama out of high school. Unfortunately, elbow and shoulder problems sidelined him and it appears his pro stock has all but gone away..)
But man, wouldn’t you have liked to seen this team play back a few years ago?
Guys, seriously…knock it off. I’m going to get in trouble for reading this stuff at work, and they never would have found it out if you weren’t making me laugh (trying to supress laughter, sounds like I’m having some kind of breathing attack at my desk).
FWIW, I didn’t think Stu’s comments last night seemed malicious when I read them (they made me laugh – I think often I’m easily amused). Alex, I think a lot of times, your comments are addressed more often than others simply because you post more than others (I rarely post often enough to merit a response). And that’s a good thing (not criticizing) – I enjoy your passion for the Braves, and can agree/disagree in the spirit of wanting to see them do well.
Cheers,
Jonathan

So it took Josh Byrnes only 20ish% as long as Joe Garagiola (possibly less, if Garagiola hadn’t been axed) to determine that Russ Ortiz sucks, 4 starts vs. 22. Congratulations, Josh. You now have a 4/33 long man. Hint: try to trade him to Cincinnati.

i want to be mr. Scorpio, and I’ll buy the Mets for Homer and he’ll be sad.
I think Francoeur would benefit from hitting eighth. It would certainly take some pressure off of him and it might even teach him to be a bit more selective, as he certainly would not get anything good to hit in that slot.
But that’s just me daydreaming … where do you get your information, Cory?

By the way, the suggestion earlier about hitting Francouer 8th is a good idea. If he doesn’t get back above the Mendoza line soon, we will have to do something…the back to back LaRoche/Francouer pair is hurting the team.

Skip Caray saying “We get back one big dude” is just funny to me.
I agree with hitting Francoeur 8th (for the sake of the offense), but that would also result in Francoeur seeing fewer good pitches to hit, which can’t be good for him.

Okay, somebody please explain the “Chippah!” thing to me. The Braves are in Georgia. Chipper is from Florida. Why do some (jenny, it looks like I’m singling you out, but I’ve seen others do it here before, too) feel the need to pronounce it the way Boston fans pronounce “Nomar”? I just don’t get it. Why not keep Betemit batting 2nd and bat Langerhans 5th or McCann 5th.
I think LaRoche & Francouer should be batting 7th and 8th, respectively at this point.
Ok, don’t want lefties back to back so stick Betemit, the switch hitter in the 5th spot followed by McCann at 6th, then Frenchy then “out”, then the pitcher’s spot?

We’re going to be swept. Leave it to the Braves to make a bad team look good.
Yet again we’re going to have to rely on the Rockies, Giants, Cubs and the Reds to beat our NL East rivals so we can keep our place in the standings.
Stu

The Brewers are not a bad team. They’re actually a good team. But Ohka is not a good pitcher, and there’s no way he should have beaten Hudson tonight.

No way we score two runs against the Brewers’ closer, whose wind-up is the main reason for his success.

So, I’m listening on the radio, and they say that it’s 3-1 on Frency and I’m just like “don’t throw him a strike. He’ll swing at anything”. And then he strikes out.
Seriously, Frencoeur needs to learn how to take pitches just so that the other guys will CONSIDER throwing him a fastball in the zone.
Question: Was the last pitch a splitter?
kc
on April 25, 2006 at 9:26 pm
Only two games under .500? That’s not too bad, I remember the Braves were six games under .500 in mid-June two years ago?
Stu
on April 25, 2006 at 9:27 pm
It was 93 mph. Does he throw his splitter that hard? I know his typical fastball is 96-97, but it seems like the velocity would drop more than that for a splitter.

on April 25, 2006 at 10:01 pm
Francoeur seems to be at the point now where he takes pitches early in the count and gets ahead or at least doesn’t get down 0-2, which is better than he was doing a couple weeks ago. However, when he gets a hitter’s count, he seems to assume the pitcher is gonna give him a pitch to hit rather than waiting for his pitch, which in certain ways is even more stupid and infuriating.
O.K. every time I read Danny’s comments, I always picture Sloth from Goonies. I just can’t help it!
Alex, I think you would second this notion…Can we please all direct our angst towards LaRoche and not eachother? Besides, it is a lot more fun.
That being said, I myself do like to jab others when necessary and will consider it an honor to be jabbed back once in a while. O.K. that sounds real bad…lets move on now.
Alex,
No sweat, big Dog. This is a fun place to go & link with like-minded Bravefolk. Don’t lose your passion & don’t sweat the little stuff. Ultimately, it’s allgood.

What say we compartmentalize these debates — I’m ready for some game talk, not a rehash of previous cycles of slights and retributions, etc.
It was snowing in Chicago this morning and I have tix for tonight’s game at Wrigley. Sweet. Better get tweaked out before the game, or else.

Hey Kyle S-
I sent you an e-mail regarding the Flickr pics….did you get it?
After reading this site now for going on four years plus I realize that having people like Alex and Stu and all the regulars is vital to the sustainability of this site. Alex when you were gone, people would ask Mac almost daily where you were and when/if you were coming back. People enjoy the banter because we all have one common thought: GO BRAVES
second bass – i got it – the latest pictures i saw from you when i checked yesterday were posted april 1. are those the ones you were talking about?
Kyle,
Disco Stu?
rb…you didn’t miss anything…I just know alex has contempt for LaRoche and wanted to cheer him up.
Disco Stu – Google Image Search
I have to admit, “Stu” and “Disco” are now permanently linked in my conscious. If we played word association, one would always suggest the other.
Get up & boogie.
Ha ha ha. Ironically, I look exactly like that.
Thanks for the blog blessings. It’s hard to still be upset when someone is referred to as “Disco Stu”.
That said, maybe it would help me and everyone lighten up if we all had “Simpsons” aliases?
Since I apparently whine too much and get upset easily, I should start calling myself Milhouse.
..and now for a change of topic:
I’ll be Apu, because…
THE NY METS ARE MY FAVORITE SQUADRON!
Yeah, baby. That joke never gets old!
Cheers,
Jonathan
Guys, seriously…knock it off.
Who can guess which Simpsons character this sounds like?
Dammit. I have used Diso STU as my avatar on internet message boards for years. But, since my name isn’t Stu—I am a D short of being a stud—I guess I can’t complain.
Stu is short for Stuart, my last name. So I’m not really a Stu, either.
And Stuart is my middle name, seriously.
If I were a Simpson’s character, I’d be Homer, simply because I believe beer is a sacrament.
If I were a Simpson’s character, I’d be Homer, simply because I believe beer is a sacrament.
But are you a lucky bastard who everything always works out for? Because if not, then you’ve got just as good a chance of being barney.
Disco Stu doesn’t advertise
If Alex R. is Milhouse, I guess that makes me the Milhouse from Shelbyville.
But if I had my druthers, I’d like to be Frank Grimes, “The man who had to struggle for everything he ever got, received his correspondence school diploma in nuclear physics — with a minor in determination.”
RB,
That’s me!
I’ll be Kent Brockman. A few weeks ago in the midst of all the “Mets ascendant” news coverage, I thought of posting: “I for one welcome our new Met overlords, as long as we don’t have to toil in their underground sugar caves.” HAIL METS
In case no one has noticed (and why would you?), perennial favorite Russ Ortiz has been bounced from the D-backs’ rotation.
Joe Jr. didn’t sign Ortiz, Jeff Moorad did.
(Joe Jr may have still had some role with the D-Backs but Moorad was making personnel decisions when Ortiz was signed)
Interesting in the D-Backs article, they say Juan Cruz could take his job. D-Backs are only 1.5 GB of 1st in the hapless NL West.
I don’t post here enough to earn a Simpsons avatar but I’m Frink on my website so I could be here too, nn-hay glayvin.
They need to hurry up and move Greene so that Quentin can get up there. And while they’re at it, just give the 1B job to Conor Jackson strait up, please.

i want to be mr.

Anybody else remember the game when Chipper came back last year?
@ Giants, he and Andruw went back-to-back in the 1st and the Braves rolled.
Bobby is saying Renteria won’t play until the Mets series, in case anyone cares…
I’m afraid I would be Comic Book Guy but I don’t want to be. For one thing, I wear appropriately-sized clothing.
Oh My God…Mac really is ‘comic book guy’–Mac that’s hilariously true.
By the way, the suggestion earlier about hitting Francouer 8th is a good idea. If he doesn’t get back above the Mendoza line soon, we will have to do something…the back to back LaRoche/Francouer pair is hurting the team.
mlb.com is showing the twins game on the braves link. it will probably be broadcasted wrong all night. what a let down. any updates let me know
Skip Caray saying “We get back one big dude” is just funny to me.
Stu’s proposed line-up:
Giles
Langerhans
Chipper
Andruw
McCann
Betemit
LaRoche
Francoeur
I agree with hitting Francoeur 8th (for the sake of the offense), but that would also result in Francoeur seeing fewer good pitches to hit, which can’t be good for him.
I just really hope we can win the Hudson/Ohka match-up….
Ohka and Andruw have a storied history – both have hit each other hard; Andruw homers, then Ohka plunks him..
Re: that promo… It was the first division title for anyone, you know, though I guess they were the last to clinch that year.

Gosh, Wryn, it’s supposed to be the other way.
Mac, I think I’ve failed to mention that I’m a huge supporter of Bama baseball, hate and despise AU baseball .. so Roll Tide this weekend when the Tigers come to Tuscaloosa.
I don’t know how to put this, but Giles is starting to resemble Mike Hampton.
Well, Disco Stu, the idea is to teach him some pitch selection…but who knows if it would work?
I wonder what Tomo Ohka means in Japanese.
Wyrn… OMG… you’re kidding! lol… and I don’t get Turner South, but I need to see that ASAP because the image in my head isn’t so good!
I assume there are personal reasons there, Wryn?
Gosh, Marcus, don’t hurt him, we need some runs first.
well, no DVR on the TV I’m on, or I’d take a pic of it – looks horrible; LaRoche did the job after last night’s game according to Skip..
I have two tests including a final tomorrow – no reason why I’m watching this..
Gabe Gross was quite possibly the worst quarterback of my lifetime for Auburn (Brewers’ CF tonight)
“Tomo” = “replacement”
“Ohka” = “level”
Chipper running very slowly – easy target for the twin killing there.
Tomo means “friend” or “companion”
Yes, Tomo Ohka is our friend. Neat.
That part of right field at Miller Park hasn’t been friendly to Giles; he sprinted away on the first out as Francoeur came over..
Hudson and Gross are both Auburn residents.
How often are the batter and pitcher residents of the same town?

anyone else having problems with directv and the braves game?
Well, every time there’s an interleague game between the Yankees and Mets there’s a good chance.
That was an “I’m going to take 2 pitches and then swing at the third one” at-bat.
I wish Turner South went back to the old “My South” song. That was cool.
This MC Hammer junk is bugging me.
Hey Kyle S….try again…they’re there now.

Jeff is supporting a new military style hair cut tonight… think it was self-administered! …yea I think he did it without a mirror… well he left the ball park last night looking a lot different than when he arrived!
that was priceless!
That ball hit off the top of Ryan’s glove and almost got him flush in the face.
He’s missed getting his nose broken on consecutive nights by 9 inches. (Last night he almost took one in the nose on a ricochet off the top of the dugout)
Nice try, Ryan. I am not going to criticize that.
thatst he second time this road trip (i think) that ryan has dived for a ball and it’s gotten behind him. This time jones was there.. but he’s got to stop doing that.
Skip: “Chip, that haircut does look a lot like yours did in New York”
No Jenny, Brian hasn’t shaved. Hey, if you want, befriend me on facebook.
Brian McCann’s batting stance reminds me of someone trying to hide in a corner.
Only one dude on Facebook with your first name. I just sent the request.
ugh… he really needs to …it looks terrible! ha …and then jeff’s gone and done god knows what to his head I’m sorta dreading seeing that!
Jeff needs hair on his head now and Brian needs to shave!
By the way, I hate HOCKEY.
I ordered the MLB Package but unfortunately, it “shares” channels with Freaking Hockey until Hockey season ends. Which means 1-2 Baseball Games ‘minimum’ are the big losers when Hockey has games.
So, tonight’s loser? the Braves-Brewers game. This is infuriating because why plunk down $179 if I cannot see every one of my favorite team’s games????
I already yelled at Comcast but it is not doing me any good. I need to move back to Georgia 🙁
I hate hockey, too, but just because I think it’s a retarded sport. If I want to see stupid grown men beat each other with sticks I will just go drive on the Beltway, which amounts to multi-tasking.
JS Jr. has a facebook page. One of the pictures on it is him and McCann jst standing in an apartment with some beer. Its kinda cool
To make matters worse, I can’t even watch (for some reason?) on mlb’s site and Yahoo either…on this Dell Desktop, all I can watch is CBS Sportsline which is OK.
My wife didn’t bring her laptop home tonight or else the MLB thing usually works.
Did you friend him? The picture he has up on the search page looks like a stoner in a crappy car.
By the way, how have the Braves managed to go nearly 4 innings and not draw one walk from Ohka?
Chipper hits a rocket on his 2nd AB back from injury this time – 2-0 Braves.
Took him to his second AB this time. He’s slipping.
CHIPPAH!
Yeah Chipper! welcome back…we missed your bat, buddy.
Welcome back, Chipper.
Dix… what’s the link to his facebook
Did you guys notice how short Prince was compared to Andruw when he rounded first base after that hit?
LaRoche = French for “out”
Yes! We needed that! Glad he’s back!
Just search for “Jonathan Schuerholz” and he pops up. I sent a friend request JUST to see that pic of him with McCann.
I think even Chipper would be offended to see his name bastardized like that.
If I’m not mistaken, that’s also the way they pronounce his name in New York.
Maybe it’s time to give Francouer the ol’ take sign every once in awhile. 2-0 and he swings at a slider 5 inches off the plate. Ugh.
Because it’s more fun to yell, Stu. I’ll stop typing it that way if it bothers you so much 😉
haha…alright
Lineup Changes…
Why not keep Betemit batting 2nd and bat Langerhans 5th or McCann 5th.
I think LaRoche & Francouer should be batting 7th and 8th, respectively at this point.
Giles
Langerhans
Chipper
‘Druw
Betemit
Mccann
Francouer
LaRoche
Ok, don’t want lefties back to back so stick Betemit, the switch hitter in the 5th spot followed by McCann at 6th, then Frenchy then “out”, then the pitcher’s spot?
Feel free to keep typing it…I just don’t understand WHY that version of his name was selected. I mean, can’t you yell “Chipper!” just as easily?
Jenny…that sarcasm you indirectly aimed at me is deserved.
But you can yell “Chippaaaaaaaah…[five minutes pass]”. “Chipperrrrrrrrrrrr” sounds dumb.
And now I must leave you all. Back in an hour. And it looks like I’m leaving just in time.
Crap…I look back and Brett Favre has homered for the Brewers.
i just friended jonathan schuerholz. if he doesn’t reject me, boy am i gonna feel elite.
Chippah is just…Chippah. It’s an exclamation. It’s what I shout out loud when he goes deep.
FYI – I was once told by a Japanese gal that Ohka means mountain.
What’s up with all the folks in white shirts holding up crownd for Prince Fielder?
Did the Mormons at the game last night really convert that many?
Speaking of Mormons, if I were one, I think my new slogan to try and get people would be “Boycotting ExxonMobil too? Yay, maybe we can ride bikes together!”
Prince definitely inherited his dad’s speed.
But see, jenny, I think “Chippah” sounds much, much more stupid.
Obviously not everyone feels this way, though. Obviously not everyone is rational.
If I were Mormon, I’d probably want to punch you in the face for making fun of my sweet bike, Wryn.

I tend to pronounce it more Midwestern actually, with a long rolling r — Chipperrrrrr!
Nice to have Chipper Jones back.
I have a feeling we only see Kolb if the game is already said and done (one team has a five run lead in the eighth) despite Kolb having (last I looked) a 0.00 ERA in six innings pitched.
Note that that photograph is taken right outside of Skip & Pete’s Bar-B-Q.
second bass, those pictures are GREAT! thanks.
That was a really nice play by Gilly and Huddy.
Anybody missing Pete Orr?
Anybody else even here?
i just got here and am pondering how we only have 2 runs through 6 off of the mighty tomo ohka
yea, im here…how did chipper get oubled off…im following the game on the internet.
Liner, Koskie dove and caught it, Chipper had already made his move toward 2nd.
I just looked and Kolb is 1-0 0.00 ERA w/ 2 hits and 2 walks in 5.2 IP. But, if Maddux is smart, and I know he is, he will have Kolb pitch against the Braves one way or the other just to show confidence in him.
Poop.
Oh god
I HATE BOBBY’S SHIFT. BOBBY SUCKS.
I despise that shift with my entire being.
Think we can score anymore runs?
nothin i *********** hate more than 2 out singles with runners in scoring position. btw, how does carlos lee steal a base on you?
Gotta go get ’em, Braves…
cmon adam we dont ask a alot, hit a homer here
Well, the offense is making every pitcher like Cy Young. It’s Cy Ohka tonight…
I went to find that picture and came back and we’re LOSIN! ugh!
and I haven’t found the pic… I feel dumb right now… nothing is working right! LOL
I certainly hope that we can score at least one more run (actually we need at least two), but the way we have been hitting it looks like a high mountain….
Go to hell Adam.
Adam just doesn’t want to be on base.
I wonder if the Braves will be the only team this year to allow a SB to Lee and Fielder in the same series. How can that be possible?
Adam sucks.
I love Weeks.
i will break something if we dont win this game. hudson vs ohka? what a joke.
The offense has been a complete joke recently…
What are the chances that it won’t be Pete Orr pinch-hitting for Hudson?
Nobody can blame Frenchy for not playing hard. Maybe he is just trying too hard.
im praying to the baseball gods that it doesnt happen stu, id rather send reitsma to the plate than orr right now
Did Skip just make a joke with Fielder’s name and it went over Chip’s head?
I think I might actually prefer Orr to Jordan. So sad.
Orr had a pinch hit last night. I am fine with Orr the pinch hitter, not the Orr the everyday player.
Hudson’s pitch was up again. Tired?
it makes me sick to think that our only choice is between orr and jordan
Remlinger up in the bullpen as Bobby waves a white flag.
Looks like DANNY might be right about tonight. Can we score two runs in two innings? I’m not overly optimistic in the middle of this slump.
I think our offense waved the white flag back in about the 4th inning. This is getting old.
It seems to me the team is tired in general…the lack of the overall shapeness.
Maybe DANNY will come in to pitch and make up for what he did to us last year?
I will be very upset if we don’t get a chance to see Danny in this series. Hey, we will see Capellan!
has he learned anything other than a fastball yet?
Time for a big inning now…
Same old Jose, same old Pete Orr…
Capellan easily breezes through the frame – maybe the big bats can do something in the 9th ..
If we get swept, geh.
Oh, Mike Maddux taught him to throw a decent slider…
We’re going to be swept. Leave it to the Braves to make a bad team look good.
Yet again we’re going to have to rely on the Rockies, Giants, Cubs and the Reds to beat our NL East rivals so we can keep our place in the standings.
The Brewers are not a bad team. They’re actually a good team. But Ohka is not a good pitcher, and there’s no way he should have beaten Hudson tonight.
Its gets better: tomorrow is Sheets v. Sosa.
Isn’t Kolb’s main pitch a sinker?
What Stu said. This is the first year I’ve seen people pick them for the playoffs and not laughed at them outright. But Ohka?
What do you get when you goose a ghost?
A handful of sheet.
No way we score two runs against the Brewers’ closer, whose wind-up is the main reason for his success.
Kolbb only throws a fastball. Nothing else. And he doesn’t have much control on the only pitch he throws.
This is sad. Thank goodness it’s only April.
Oh god, this guy. Hide the kids.
Hide the mirrors, too.
Huh. His wind-up doesn’t seem at eratic as last night.
Pathetic Andruw. Just pathetic.
Andruw looks awful right now.
Adam will get striked out. A perfect way to end the game.
Down to our last out with LaRoche up.
Ooh, yeah, our last hope is Adam LaRoche.
Shoot me now.
The whole offense is pathetic. It’s like the end of that west coast road trip. They just want to go home more than playing right now.
LaRoche walks.
Francoeur home run!
That was actually quite a good at-bat.
This will be the opposite.
Adam completed exceeded my expectation.
Ok, Frenchy will get striked out.
Props to Roach.
Actually, Francoeur is the only person I could want at the plate less than LaRoche right now.
Wilson in the hole, dare to dream
That was ball four…
grrrrrr that was ball 4, dummy!
We lose.
As expected…
Ugh.
Once again, let’s go Giants…
So after 20 games: 9-11.
Nice start….
/sarcasm
I am not too concerned about the Mets to be honest. I am more concern about our own team!
Man what has happend to our our offense .It kind of sad to see Hudson get the L .When in fact he did not pitch that bad tonight
Only two games under .500? That’s not too bad, I remember the Braves were six games under .500 in mid-June two years ago?
It was 93 mph. Does he throw his splitter that hard? I know his typical fastball is 96-97, but it seems like the velocity would drop more than that for a splitter.
Jenny plays the role of prophet(ess) and we lose yet again – Thank goodness we’re the Mets daddy!
The last pitch was a fastball strike. Frenchy did swung at a low fastball on the pitch before that should be ball four.
Frenchy is just trying too hard. The tools are all there. The problem is in his head.
Stu, I believe that last pitch was a fastball. I never trust a FOX radar gun.
I think it was too, mainly because of the location and lack of movement. But it was the Turner South gun, not Fox.
Who are the three Mets pitchers we face? Please tell me Zambrano and Trachsel.
I think it’s Pedro, Zambrano, Glavine.
Is there any other team that swings at more in-the-dirt pitches than the Atlanta Braves?
Good news: Marlins, Nationals and Phillies lose.
Come on Giants.
Pedro Pitch 1 Glavine pitch in game 2 and in game 3 will pitch Zambrano
Maybe he took something off to make sure he located it. He doesn’t seem to get up to 96-97 unless he’s trying to blow somebody away with a high fastball or something.
