As we all expected, the Braves are tied for the best record in the NL with the…checks notes, Arizona Diamondbacks? But…that’s not part of the script?! However, the Detroit Tigers are NOT the D’Backs and they’re 26-37 on the year and have not had a winning season since 2016, and I’m fairly certain that the trend will pay it forward in 2024 as they’re dead last in team OPS and 21st in team ERA. Meanwhile, ATL is 2nd in OPS and 7th in ERA (but 1st in the NL). Let’s take a look at the Braves vs. Tigers pitching matchups.

Braves vs. Tigers Pitching Matchups

Game 1: Charlie Morton vs. Mason Englert

Game 2: Spencer Strider vs. Reese Olson

Game 3: AJ Smith-Shawver vs. Michael Lorenzen

Also, if you’ve not paid attention of the official Braves account, I kinda dig what they’re doing this year to push the Braves All-Star Ballots.
