Game two of this triple slate is set to go tonight in Atlanta, GA and the Braves are back on the super station. Shaky starting pitching and a leaky bullpen ultimately led to a Braves loss in Mondays contest. Atlanta will line up behind number 99, Spencer Strider and try to force a rubber match on Wednesday. Let’s take a look at the lineups.

Strider will look for a bit of a bounce back this evening. His last outing in Arlington came to an end after just 88 pitches and seven strikeouts. He ultimately gave up four earned runs on six hits including two long balls courtesy of Adolis Garcia. Seven K’s seems measly when discussing number 99. Let’s hope we can see him get back into double digits in game two against LA.

The Braves lineup looks pretty standard top to bottom. The only notable omission being that of one Michael Harris II. The reigning NL rookie of the year has limped out of the gate in 2023. So much so that he seems to have earned himself a day in the dugout. Harris is hitless in his last 6 games dating back to the series opener in Texas. Harris currently sports a 33 OPS+. I’ll spare you the rest of the dreadful numbers.

Jason Heyward returns to Atlanta for game two. The Braves will also get a look at another young right hander in the Dodgers organization. Bobby Miller will make his big league debut tonight at Truist Park. Miller has worked up a 5.65 ERA over 14.1 innings in Oklahoma City this spring. Twelve K’s and six walks rounds out the basic stuff for the twenty four year old.

Time to bounce back. This is still a very winnable series if the Braves keep their head down and their foot on the gas. I’m crossing my fingers for a Strider-Anderson-Iglesias progression tonight. First pitch will come at 7:20 ET and can be seen on Bally Sports South as well as TBS.
