Okay, this is the game thread for tomorrow’s first game now. It’s supposed to start around noon Central Time (I am going to use Central Time even if it annoys you, hahahahahahaha!!!) but I don’t know the TV situation. I suppose Rathbun and Torborg could go for Fox (network) but otherwise it would be blacked out. Stupid Fox.

ESPN Scoreboard is reporting the game will be replayed tomorrow as part of a doubleheader. 1st game to start at 1:25 and 2nd game 30 minutes after the conclusion of the 1st.

What I can say is that this game will, if it is started tonight, end after my bedtime.

Actually, ububba, even if it is a DH tomorrow, one game would still be televised by TS and another one by TBS.

Well I was hoping to log on and find out that we won, but apparently we never got started. Anyways I’ll be out for the week and hopefully we’ll get on a winning streak. Wish me luck, I’m getting married tomorrow and off too Cancun for the honeymoon. See you guys later!

Not that it’s really relevant here, but Chase Utley is pretty darn good. He’s got 8 hits in the Phillies-Dodgers game as Philly leads 8-6 going into the bottom of the 9th. The previous NL record for most hits in a 9 inning game was 7, held by two — Wilbert Robinson in 1892 and Rennie Stennett in 1975. Strangely enough, the record in a multi-inning game is only 6. The AL records are 6 and 9, respectively.
According to the official site, kc has it right. Early game on TS, late on TBS. It also looks like a day-night deal, not a for real doubleheader.
Okay, mea culpa. Apparently there’s a problem with the box scores, and it’s affected ESPN on TV tonight too. Some players’ stats look right, others’ don’t — but as of now, see http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/boxscore?gid=260602119 and you’ll see what I mean. Oops.

What is the rights arrangement? With the Mets on rain delay, if the Cleveland game becomes a blowout, can Fox air the Braves? Since they don’t have a crew there, it would probably be a last resort, but I was just wondering if it was possible.
Joey, maybe the voices of Skip and Pete will be on national TV…which is what I am hearing right now.
I imagine if they were compelled to show the Braves, they’d have an announcing crew in their studio commenting over the feed. Like ESPN sometimes does with foreign events.

Either the Braves are sloppy, or the scouting report doesn’t mention the kid can throw a decent curve or slider or whatever it is.

The radio announcers actually just mentioned the scouting report doesn’t have anything on his curve. But then, the Braves strike out quite a bit on a regular basis anyway. And they have two guys in there right now – Diaz and Frenchy – who basically never walk.

Spread the criticism around–chipper struck out looking too with men on base. In fact, I haven’t seen chipper do *anything* with men on base in weeks.
What did Francoeur do in that last inning that Langerhans and Diaz didn’t?
