ASTROSDAILY.COM – your best source for news and information on the Houston Astros baseball team
I keep forgetting to link to the other team’s site (it’s not always easy to find one that’s being updated) before the series. But Astros Daily is a good one (even if John Lauck for some reason said that the red-hot Marlins “have fallen into their normal post-All Star slumber”) and thankfully survived the assault of the lawyers.
I’ve been to that website many times. Very well run….I especially like reading about their postseason history. I hadn’t realized until I went to that webiste that the Astros had never been out of the first round. If Boston were on their chests….it’d be a curse! But really, it’s just alot of bad luck, especially in 1980 and 1986, not to mention Game 3 of ’99. Walt Weiss, anyone? I think one of the columnists on the site jokingly referred to the Braves as the “Sons of Satan”, or something like that, probably due to the starcrossed playoff histories of the two teams.
I see where the Angels dealt Schoeneweis to the White Sox and Houston picked up Miceli today. So that’s six trades involving relievers in the last week, none by the Braves. Schuerholz needs to get off his ass already…
Oh, and the Red Sox just got Scott Williamson. Keep fishing, Johnny…
Hey, if he had to go somewhere else, the Yankees’ arch nemesis isn’t too bad.
