The Braves won yesterday like they did in so many game in 2023, with the longball. Jorge Soler, Gio Urshela, and Matt Olson gave the Braves their 6 runs to keep the playoff hopes alive. Max Fried lowered his 2024 season ERA to 3.42 with a 6 IP, 5H 1 ER, 1BB, 6K performance.
Michael Harris II has really heated up in September, carrying a .923 OPS in 91 PAs. Ozzie Albies now has 2 games under his belt as a RHH only guy and it hasn’t went well (1 for 10). However, there’s no way of telling whether that is just him adjusting back to MLB pitching, or if it truly isn’t going to work. Like MH2, Matt Olson has been wreaking havoc in September, carrying a 1.037 OPS and the light tower power has returned. Hopefully it’s not too late.

Not sure why we started Murphy over DArnaud today. Given the criticality of every game right now we have to have the 9 players that give us the best chance to win in the lineup every game.
That trade for Murphy is going to continue yo haunt us for years, especially with the fact he continues to play twice as much as TDA

There are 2 pitchers in Atlanta I don’t want on the mound with the bases loaded and no outs – Bummer and Hernandez. Somehow that combo worked in the biggest game of the year so far. I’ll take it!
