The Braves seem back on track and are in Atlanta hosting the Artist formerly known as the Marlins at 6:20 CT/7:20 ET. Charlie Morton takes the mound against RHP Max Meyer. While the Braves have all their roster intact and made a few additions to the roster in Jorge Soler and Luke Jackson, the Marlins blew the damn thing up and traded 9 players in a massive rebuild: Huascar Brazoban, Trevor Rogers, Tanner Scott, Bryan Hoeing, Bryan De La Cruz, JT Chargois, Josh Bell, Jazz Chisholm Jr., and A.J. Puk. It was good timing for the Braves and anything less than winning 3 of 4 would be an absolute disgrace.
Should Braves Bring Cristian Pache Home?
Cristian Pache was recently DFA’d by the Baltimore Orioles and the Braves have Jorge Soler that will patrol the OF for most of the game before getting pulled for another OFer. And while we know that Pache isn’t much of a hitter, the dude can absolutely play the hell out of some OF and will come very cheap. If the Braves are looking for a lockdown defensive OFer to acquire, there’s no one better on the market than Pache.
Charlie Morton and Braves Lineup
Charlie Morton, you’re up.

Bad Charlie. Gonna be one of those nights.
A hot Olson & a hot Arcia… it’s different team when those guys are hitting.
A win tonight would cut the division lead to 6 GB w/ Philly starting a West-Coast road trip tomorrow night.
They’ll be playing the Mariners, Dodgers & D-Backs, while we’re playing Marlins, Brew Crew & Rockies.
Hey, let’s make the next 10 days interesting.
Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
Might as well go grab Pache; he can’t be worse than Wall.
Tonight’s game was the good kind of boring. Couple homers, pretty good pitching, take care of business against a bad team. These are the kinds of wins I’ll definitely never take for granted.
Some signs of life. But I’m not raising my expectations for the season yet. These wins have actually been more enjoyable from a fan perspective, and maybe we can put a scare in the Phillies over the next few weeks. That would be fun.
