Coming off the disappointment that was last night’s 11-inning loss, the Braves were dealt another blow today. Pierce Johnson was placed on the 15-day IL and Jackson Stephens was recalled as we prepare for Braves, Dodgers – Game #2.

Andy Pages had a monster game last night, recording four hits, including the game-winner. Tonight, let’s respect our Elder as Bryce squares off against Tyler Glasnow. I watched some of his last start, I’m hoping his hand cramps early and acts like Glass Now. He’s been legit good so far, but so has Elder.
Ronnie and Riles got going a bit last night, let’s hope they both hit a tank or two again tonight. Oh, and May the Fourth be with Bryce! First pitch is set for 9:10EDT/8:10CDT.

That’s what happens when a nibbler walks people in the middle of the order. Good bet 2 is enough to win this one
89 MPH four-seamers high in the zone won’t cut it.
For teams that don’t chase it’s absolute batting practice.
But we have but one run so these add on runs likely won’t matter
Yeah, Bryce is overmatched.
Hopefully this chases Elder back to AAA and results in the return of AJSS
AJSS isn’t exactly killing it at Gwinnett. Apparently the Braves have both him and Waldrep working on specific things and both are struggling.
The Braves need a good butt kicking. They’ve been piddling around at the plate so long they’re beyond lucky their record is as good as it is. Olson is in need of serious remedial attention.
Hard to believe it’s the ball when the Dodgers hit 4 HRs.
Matzek might be cooked. This makes me sad.
Yeah, his stuff isn’t back. I guess the Braves will give him another month or 2 to find it but if he continues to struggle they will have to make a decision.
Well, at least we have the pitching advantage in Game 3. James Paxton leads the NL in walks and has walked 7 more guys than he has struck out.
