After dropping the broom in search of a sweep Sunday, the Braves look to return to Winans ways tonight against the Mets. New York comes calling for the first of a three-game set.

Transaction a Day AA

Yonny is likely Gonny until Braves need some mop-up games. If you didn’t catch this, Allan Winans talks about his journey to the bigs and it’s awesome!

Braves Lineup

Winans (1-0, 1.59) makes his third career start for the Braves. Winans earned his first career win against the Mets on August 12, throwing seven innings of four hit ball while not giving up a run. The Braves tagged him for five hits and four runs in five innings. Matt Olson‘s eighth home run of the season was the decisive blow. Vaughn Grissom gets a start for the first time since being recalled.

Against David Peterson, Marcell Ozuna is 0-for-12 lifetime against him, but he has been carrying the Atlanta offense of late so maybe he breaks the streak.. He and his fellow line-up mate, Eddie Rosario are blistering hot. OHzuna had a 16-game hit streak snapped yesterday, and Rosario was named the NL Player of the month. With the lefty on the mound, Rosario sits tonight, but the Braves welcome Money Mike Harris II back. Harris II returns to the 2-hole after taking yesterday off after he fouled a ball of his foot on Saturday.

Eddie Rosario Earns Player of the Week Award

I’m sorry Eddie. I should’ve never doubted you.

Yay! It’s time to make fun of Pete Alonso again.

Here are my top 5 favorite dorky moments of Alonso’s career:

#1 Pete Alonso Humps Dugout

#2 Pete Alonso’s Dorky Shirtless Interview

#3 Dorky Pete Big Mad at Being Walked

#4 Pete Alonso, Uber Dork, Chucks Ball in Stands

Look, he might not have meant it as an insult, but it wasn’t the end of an inning. Why, Pete? Why? I know why…d-o-r-k.

#5 Throw it Again!

And ya gotta love some Tyler Matzek
