Braves vs. Marlins! It’s a fish fry, people! Last night, the Braves kicked fish butts last night on the wings of an extraordinary performance from Spencer Strider. Today, Charlie Morton takes on Bryan Hoeing, whose stats and last name is more befitting of garden work than throwing baseballs. He’s a journeyman that was drafted in the 7th round of the 2019 draft and has put up remarkably mediocre results in the minors until this year. The Marlins seemingly want to test him to see if his results are real or a fluke, and they decided to pick the Braves.

Charlie Morton is coming off his best start of the season: 6IP, 5H, 1R, 3BB. He’s gotten better every start and I hope the trend continues.

I found this story written about Charlie’s transformation and I found it interesting

A Transaction of the Day AA

DUNEDIN, FL – FEBRUARY 16: President of Baseball Operations and General Manager of the Atlanta Braves Alex Anthopoulos speaks to the media during the Spring Training Grapefruit League Media Day at Blue Jays Player Development Complex on Thursday, February 16, 2023 in Dunedin, Florida. It has been a few days since Alex Anthopoulos has made a transaction and I’m sure he was getting a little fidgety…

Poor Danny Young. I’m sorry. It was inevitable. And congrats to Eli White, his wife, and Collin McHugh (weird wording by me, but I’m keeping it). The problem with this embed is it leaves off what’s behind the “and”, and it’s a pretty important and as Nick Solak has been recalled from AAA. I doubt he starts tonight, but I hope we get a look at him at some point in the series.

Braves vs. Marlins Lineup

It’s about the best Brian Snitker can do considering the circumstances. It Fish Frying Time!
