Top prospect Cristian Pache will get the start in left field and bat ninth for the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday, his first MLB action. A native of the Dominican Republic, Pache hit .277 across two levels during the 2019 season with 12 home runs. He is widely regarded as one of the top defensive prospects in the game with range and a great arm.

Because this is his first major league game and they’re not gonna plop him right in center field from the jump. I look forward to someone asking why he’s hitting ninth, as well.
I do love, looking more closely at the lineup, that Duvall is getting some legit respect even against a right-hander.

UPDATE: In a normal year, Jonathan, I would say yes. Since they’re gonna be quicker on the trigger this year, though, I think it could go either way.
