Big series coming up. I have been very impressed with the Mets, but I have a feeling that their achievements will cause the NYC press/fans to pile on the pressure, and the Mets will fold from it sometime in July. Braves need to keep looking forward and hoping the Phils get knocked out early, then we mop up the Mets and take #15!!!!
Oh yeah, I’ve heard Met fans say that if they don’t sweep this series they’ll never beat the Braves (even though they get at least 19 opportunities).
No matter what happens tonight, the result will cause pure over-reaction. If the Mets win, the Braves are done (despite years of evidence to the contrary); if the Braves win, the Mets are the same crew that shrivels when they see Atlanta (even though they’ll still be in first place).
As long as you have talk radio & 2 competing tabloids, there’s no such thing as a 162-game season in NYC. Every game is like a Super Bowl.
Ah, Pedro vs. Sosa. I’ll let Relient K provide the theme music for tonight:
“Down in Flames”
Reverse jinx!
This one’s for jac h
I dunno, if we really want to overreact we should use “End of All Hope” by Nightwish.
Can we just use final countdown …if for no other reason than its final countdown

oh…btw, i know some ‘tards use paddles for beer pong but thats just lame really. Why? because i dont do it and thus it must be
Hmm… I got my fingers crossed that the game comes on my ESPN… it’s looking promising at the moment!
YES!… I think I’m getting it tonight!
Just saw the lineup card on TV….I really don’t like Orr leading off. What’s wrong with Giles followed by Betemit, and sticking Orr lower in the order?
Who knows what Bobby is thinking?
’cause he’s got speed.. but I think it’s bad to be moving Giles around in the batting order.
Taking an early lead in this game would be huge for the team’s confidence.
C’mon, Andruw, make ’em pay.
Why does Pedro drive his right foot so hard into the ground? I’ve never noticed another pitcher that does that.
There’s a run!
Agree about Orr leading off…typical Bobby.
Beautiful!
Gosh, Adam, try not to K.
LaRoche is now 1/11 with 6 Ks vs. Pedro.
Nice throw from RF.
/heavy sarcasm
And Mike, the driving is, I think, part of the reason he’s having toe problems. Although it might be the other foot.
C’mon, Bobby…why is that loser hitting in that key 5th spot. What a cornholio Adam is.
I don’t think he heard you say “not,” Alex.
Good thing he’s batting 5th, then, ububba.
You know, his K’s wouldn’t bother me as much if he didn’t walk off with this completely space-case expression on his face like, “How could that happen? There’s a hole in my bat!” It annoys me.
No it’s the foot he’s driving into the ground that is hurt. But as to why he does it is probably just a quirk, like leg kick or arm angle, though a quirk that no one else does.
Yeah, Adam is one-third toward his 3Ks target tonight already…
way to end the excitement of the inning, you fracking loser, Adam.
glad we got 1 run in… wish we’d gotten that other one in though!
At least we don’t have Endy Chavez batting 7th in our line-up.
Strike 3 was filthy.
Yes,but Stu, we have Orr leading off and the big loser hitting 5th.
Which is REALLY worse?
I’m almost embarrassed about my first name. Or just pissed about the 5th spot in our lineup.
How did he strike Reyes out? He missed all over the place. Oh, well.
I mentioned this in a previous post, but I’m pretty sure Bobby is leading off with Orr because he doesn’t want to bat consecutive lefties anywhere in the lineup. Personally, I’d prefer Giles 1, then Betemit 2.
I’m not crazy about Orr leading off. The last AB notwithstanding, he just doesn’t seem to have deep ABs. He seems like a decent No. 7 or 8 hitter, but I don’t think Bobby wants to bat him next to McCann at 7 or 8, or next to Langer if he bats 2.
The Mets 7-9 hitters are just impossibly bad in this game. Its the other hitters that scare the crap outta me.
Please tell me Betemit didn’t hurt his back.
I was only comparing 7th spots, Alex. I’m well aware that they’re in much better shape in other spots. I just prefer to focus on the positive.
Wow, Adam. You’re really screwing us this inning.
HOLY CRAP……
Aw jeez.
Good job LaRoche.
Isnt Loduca OUT if it hits him? what the f—?
Great…
Well, time to step it up, Jorge.
Way to go Adam!!!
never mind, off the big LOSER…God I hate him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ll never take anything away from Bobby’s managing; I think he’s among the best ever. But I also have been driven mad by the obsessions with righty-lefty matchups over the years.
This couldn’t be going any better….
Come on Houdini Sosa.
I would almost rather walk Wright and let Sosa deal with whomever is next.
Wow.
No freaking way.
Yes!!!!!!
BIG pitching by Jorge, there. Although I’m not sure why Giles flipped that one to Betemit….
THAT’S what I’m talkin’ about.
Way to go Houdini Sosa.
The way that inning started, all I saw was 3R homer from Wright, so that was a pleasent surprise.
Beautiful!!!
We score the first run off pedro and Jorge Sosa gets David Wright hits into a double play? What kind of seinfeldian bizarro world is this??
1-0 you so far, Still alot of time left.
you guys got lucky on the DP
I can’t believe the SNY guys are calling Adam a “gold glove caliber first baseman”…
Perhaps we’re looking at the ’05 Sosa here.
….but I will take it. 🙂
It’s a good thing NY METS is updating the score for us.
I’d say you got lucky we didn’t score more than one run off of Pedro last inning.
I like our hitters this inning.
Why in the world is he bunting?
What the hell was that bunting crap?
Yeah, when they swing….
Way to work the count, Frenchy. God what an annoying start.
Just hoping Sosa will avoid that one out of control inning…his control looks good tonight at least so far…
We need to make Pedro work a little harder than that.
Chip: “Not a bad idea….”
Me: “Hell yeah that’s a bad idea, Francoeur hits the ball far, bunting is just incredibly stupid, even against Pedro”
Mr. Met sure is a schmuck-on-wheels.
Mets fans should love Adam.
Anyone else have knots in their stomach? This series is gonna kill me. J/K… sort of.
The guys over at Hardball Times had LaRoche as one of the worst rated defensive first basemen. I didn’t mind him too much til I saw that stat.
I don’t have knots. I mean, I want to win, sure, but it’s April 17. I won’t be nervous until the Mets–remember, these are the Mets–are up 4 games with 3 to play.
True. I needed that bit of perspective. THanks, Stu!
Awesome. Xavier Nady.
Dammit…Nady? C’Mon Jorge. Homers to guys like that, hurt.
Adam made a defensive play!
HOME RUN!!! WHOO!
God, these ESPN announcers are fawning disgustingly over the Mets.
And on our least favorite show today, “Around the Horn” everyone on the show but J.A. Adande was BURYING the Braves 11 games in. Yes, burying us.
I would love to shove it in all these northeastern faces again to see these f-ng Mets lose.
Yes, Woody Page you f-ng loser, our 2nd tournament is coming up and I have my eye on you you moron. (and Braves and Spurs hater, plus a Tennessee fan so I am pretty much against Woody on every level)
Andruw barely had to move on that.
The Mets fans over at ThinkFactory call Hernandez “IPOR” for what you see when he bats, if you’re watching on MLB GameDay “In Play, Out Recorded”
I know the homer sucked, but I like the way Sosa’s throwing the ball thus far. Sosa’s gonna give up the occasional homer anyway, but he’s looked 10 times better than he’s looked in his other two starts. We may actually have a chance here, provided he keeps it up.
Alex R., you’re a Spurs fan? Where do you live? Also, who’s your college team?
Nick,
I agree…other then the homer, Sosa has looked crisper tonight. I dare say we should hold off on burying him just yet. Keep it up, Jorge.
Did anybody else note the unbelievable irony of NY METS’ post earlier?
1-0 you so far, Still alot of time left.
And yet, after 13 games, it’s clear the Braves’ run is over….
Alex R. — I agree. The ESPN guys are annoying the hell out of me. I will most likely be watching it muted before the hour is over. I’d probably be better off watching SNY. Sad.
Wow, I was really grilling him there. Looked kinda creepy…
The complete list of position players on the current roster less suited to leadoff than Pete Orr:
Tony Pena Jr.
Possibly Todd Pratt.
ahh 1-1
we should be kicking your ass in about……20 min.
i think you guys would like some company
this room needs some more mets fans
I am watching SNY right now. Those guys are not that bad.
Orr will now foul off four pitches and then strike out.
i can invite them for you, really i dont mind
And most of the pitchers, aside from maybe Thomson.
I think Orr has seen more pitches in his first 2 at-bats than in his previous combined career.
Pete Orr sucks. There’s no 2 ways about it. So he hustles…he still sucks.
Ah…I oversestimated. Crap.
You are good Nick.
Doubles Machine!
Its a good thing Pete Orr was on base there to score on Marcus’s double… oh, wait…
Well I can’t tell you about the ESPN people, but I can confirm that Chip Caray is still a moron.
Thanks kc. I’m switching over. For the record, Orr may be fast, but he stinks at the plate. And he’s not impressing me at third either.
Langer!
Langy!
Nice. We’ll take our lead back, NYMETS. Nice to see your fans already booing.
Yes, Ryan…atta boy!!!!
Loving Langerhans…just loving the kind of maturity he shows at the plate.
Watch him, Frenchy.
Langy!!!
Yes… nice job Langy… got Giles in!
Aside from that homer, Sosa has looked good. Knock on wood.
Who thinks Sosa should plunk Pedro on the toe?
They shouldn’t have called the runner out…the 2nd baseman was way way off the bag there. They never call that, though.
It’s like never calling a “walk” in Basketball.
Ah forget the toe. If you’re going to peg him get him in the hand or the head.
I wonder if Jose Guillen would stop attempting to injure our players if we plunk Pedro for him.
Ah…Jose Reyes. Good to see he hasn’t changed a bit.
Nice first pitch swinging, Jose–way to take batting lessons from Frenchy.
I love it when Jose Reyes hits the ball in the air.
I love to see Jose Reyes pop up pitches early in the count.
There’s something Mets fans hear a lot: “Reyes jumps at the first pitch.” He’s so bad. Basically he’s the same player as Orr, only the Mets pretend he’s good.
A nice easy inning here for Sosa would be aweesome. I would give my right arm for 7 strong innings.
Fun Mets quandary… Why is Paul Lo Duca’s intro music “Boogie Shoes”?
Dammit. C’mon, Sosa…stay focused.
Though he does seem to focus better w/ runners on.
Delgado is a moron if he doesn’t try to line to left. Even if he hits a homer, it’s a free RBI.
Carlos Delgado just destroys Sosa.. I’m not feeling good right now.
Those guys at SNY are treating Cox like a baseball god. I bet you don’t hear those things at ESPN.
I hate LoDuca.
As I recall, back when we were lamenting how terrible Furcal was early last year, we still said to ourselves that at least we didn’t have Jose Reyes. That’s how bad he is.
Of course, I forgot his career line against Sosa.
Why didn’t we walk him?
You knew that was coming…
Now he’s something like 14-28 with 7HRs.
Thanks for predicting that, Mac. Could you not say that out loud next time?
I don’t know. We should have.
If we’d walked him, Mac, Sosa couldn’t have shown off another hanging breaking ball. And that’s important.
Know it, should have walked Delgado.
Against Sosa, he’s 14/27 with 7 HR & 14 RBI with only 4 BBs.
Guess we take our chances with Wright next time.
So, no run allowed in the first inning, one run in the second inning, and two runs allowed in the third inning…the trend isn’t looking good!
No K for Adam!!!
Nice hustle, Frenchy…
We’re fighting so far. I wasn’t optimistic about the awful pitching mismatch, but we’re still in this one.
This right here is why you don’t hit Betemit eighth. They’ve just taken the bat out of our 4th best hitter to get to Sosa. Stink…
He should walk Sosa to get to Orr.
Betemit stealing???
Damn. We can’t leave men on base.
Nick, that made me laugh. Sad… but true.
Sosa wouldn’t have hit that with a tennis racket. That was truly nasty.
Pedro Pitch Count Through 4
Well, at least chances are good that we’ll see the bullpen for three or so innings. Hopefully we’re still in the game at that point.
It’d be nice to make Pedro work, get to the bullpen, and feast off Julio…
You’re not going to see Jorge Julio unless it’s a blowout or extra-innings.
Way to pay attention, Francoeur.
Bullpen…. bullpen…. bulllpen….
Nice Jorge. Nice job…
We are going to see the Braves’ middle relievers, though….
The Braves announcers just mentioned this a couple minutes ago, but check out the number of empty seats in Shea Stadium. I thought we were the only team that didn’t sell out every game. Why do I get the feeling I won’t hear anything about how the Mets fans failed to sell this game out?
Time to do a little grinding on Pedro, starting with Orr.
The only home games the Mets ever actually sell out are opening day & the 3 against the Yankees. Their attendance & Atlanta’s has been about the same the last 2 years.
since when did nady get so good? i only even remember him cause he hit a grandslam off of devine. and if im correct, he wasnt even a starting player last year! or was he…
Now it’s time for Cliff Floyd’s annual injury.
Orr swings at more junk than Francoeur.
Orr is really hurting us tonight. Just as he really hurt us yesterday. Why is he leading off, again?
Marcus:Pedro :: Delgado:Sosa
Which is more impressive? (Rhetorical)
Stupid wind knocked that one down.
This may be an old development, but what the heck is Jose Valentin doing LF? Has it gotten that bad for him?
Hmmm, 11 pitches. That’s not exactly grinding.
Nady may be the slowest outfielder in baseball. Wait…check that: the slowest outfielder in baseball not named Barry Bonds.
Floyd got hurt coming around 3rd last inning.
I never like Orr much except for his speed…
How do you walk this guy?
By not being anywhere near the strike zone.
Bobby left Sosa in cause he’s hoping for a double play and Chuck is a fly ball pitcher? No way can Sosa pitch to Delgado again.
Dang it….
This one’s about to get ugly, fellas.
Delgado must be walked, or Chuck James must be brought in, or else the game is over.
…man if we had gotten the runners in that have been in scoring position this would be a totally different game!
Alright, another Braves starter pitches the standard 4.0IP and gives up the minimum 4 runs. At least he spread them out this time.
Things just get better and better. I wonder if it was McDowell’s bright intellect that decided that Sosa could not leave the rotation and sought to trade Thomson.
At least Sosa is now leaving….
could sosa still be decent trade bait after last year’s flukish season even though he is sucking it up a bit right now?
C’mon Chuck…
I swear… I’m sick of listening to the ESPN announcers!
Nice. Delgado was baffled on that somehow.
Good Job Chuck… now on to the next out…
A couple of more outings like today’s and Sosa will be back to the ‘pen in no time.
I hate that Chip’s calling him “Chuckie” James.
Who’s announcing the game for ESPN tonight?
Dang… well at least we got one… now get the next one and don’t let the runner score!
Umm…. I don’t remember… haha… I know Dave O’Brien is up there and 2 others… I think Sutcliff maybe
Jeff Brantley, Dave Miller or something like that, and Eric Karros
Yes… good job Chuck!
I say we move Chuck into the rotation!
Can we please get this guy in the rotation?
haha… thanks cory …I drew a blank and couldn’t think of anyone…
Sut, O’Brien, and Karros. Apparently two of them couldn’t provide enough suck, so they put all three in the booth.
although you actually got me thinking whether it’s Sutcliffe or Brantly.
Yea… they’ve been drooling and bragging about the mets and it’s getting old… I think I’m gonna mute the TV lol
BEAUTIFUL Andruw! That was a LONG one!!
That one was rocked.
I find that the ESPN announcers always pick one of the teams and brag about them all night long.
ANNNNDRUUUUUUUUUWWWW!!!!!!!!!!
this game is interes—shit laroche stop striking out!
haha… I knew there was no way I was gonna come out with the right answer! ..but I remembered them saying his name at some point in time… I really had no clue except for Dave
Why wont Bobby do anything about LaRoche? what will it take?
Things just get better and better. I wonder if it was McDowell’s bright intellect that decided that Sosa could not leave the rotation and sought to trade Thomson. Pitching coaches don’t make those decisions…way to try to blame everything on McDowell though, nice to see fan overreaction is still just as predictable as ever before.
O’Brien can be tolerable, I think. He isn’t all the time, it kind of depends on who’s in the booth with him. Which is why he’s apparently sucking today, I would guess, since Sutcliffe and Karros are terrible.
WHo else can play first for us?
well… on to the bottom of 6
Jurries. Jurries. Jurries.
It’s certainly not worse then that piece of crap, LaRoche.
I was checking in on the Thrashers game when Andruw hit his home run, by the way. That always happens to me. I think I momentarily flipped away during like half of his home runs last year. Where did he hit it? Into the parking lot over the bleachers or something?
Yeah pretty much.
Nick,
Whats weird Is I missed like 8 of ‘Druw’s homers last year. Weird.
Well, for those who care, the Thrashers lead 4-3 after two periods…heh.
John Thomson is hitting well enough to play first!
(Thanks for the update Nick, though they still need the Lightning to lose to make it to the playoffs right? Not that it matters. Vokoun has blod clots, my team’s cooked. ) We now return to the Chuck James pop-up show. Already in progress…
oh yeah, scratch that last comment, our starting pitching is already hurting enough right now…
Forgive the stupid question, but who’s their setup man?
Sorry, boys but I dont think James will make it into the rotation any time soon unfortunately. They said Ramirez is close to being healthy and Sosa will be returning to the pen when that happens. So who’s crap would you rather watch more Sosa or Ramirez. I say we trade Horam, Sosa, and LaRoche for 1 bag of peanuts(salted) and a large coke or make that a small coke. I dont really care, but they all suck and they piss me off……….
I love this move. Pedro can’t hit and anytime he goes 100 pitches he becomes very hittable.
And yeah LatNam, they need to win their final two and have either Montreal or Tampa Bay lose their last game in regulation.
what about bringing up Thorman and Jurries for LaRoche and Jordan..
Alex R, with our luck, Jurries will go 0-30 if he gets called up…
alright!
c’mon guys …let’s get something goin
I hope Betemit gets on so Chuck can just bunt him over and stay in the game.
Is Chip partnering Joe Simpson for all road games this season and his dad will be working for all home games?
maybe we should let Diaz try and bunt again – he also looked like crap last time. We seem to be good and putting crap in for our good players (excluding Betemit)
I realize that the Athlon Baseball preseason magazine is regional, so Im not sure if this article was or wasnt, but it stated that almost all of the games biggest homerun threats have never gone deep again Pedro Martinez; including Andruw!
Because of our 3 runs off Pedro, I think once we draw out their bullpen we will start to score some runs. One question though: who’s bullpen will hurt more, theirs or ours?
LOL…Chip says, “Look at the wind play with that!!!” and the trajectory of the ball doesn’t change by so much as an inch. Brilliant.
Jordan sucks….
pinch hit with John Thompson please
where’s Julio?
That’s Thomson.
Jordan still sucks
I thought they banned those stupid sleeves pedro is wearing
Yes, Jordan sucks…and so does President Logan.
Yeesh!
just missed!
Wow… Orr singles!
HEY!!! watch your head
I like the way SNY describe Jordan, “he’ve gotten more injuries playing baseball than playing football.”
Yes, Jordan really sucks.
Ha ha…so true, Dix.
okay… so we’re getting into their pen now… I hope we can do something with this …c’mon Marcus
prediction: Giles two run HR 1st pitch – Pedro shoots him when he comes around third base
Pedro now is like Maddux and Glavine at their end of their career. Allowed three runs in six and one-third innings and everybody is treating him like god.
Pedro’s so happy – why? He almost got decapitated by a line drive by Pete Orr.
lets trade everyone for Pujols or Konerko
It may not have been entirely McDowell’s decision to trade Thomson (and keep Sosa in the rotation), but it strains credibility to believe that he would not have played a key part in it.
Otherwise, part of the fun of being a fan is to be able to overeact!
WooHoo! Orr steals! c’mon Marcus hit him in!
THAT’s why you have guys like Pete Orr!
Dang…
who was warming up?
Poop.
Cormier.
Looked like Cormier in ‘da pen.
1 out! c’mon Cormier
2 away… c’mon 1 more
Even if we loose this game, I wont be all that disappointed, we’ve hung tuff and didnt give up….
Lets go..1 more
2 out. We’ve got to hold ’em. Still in it.
I guess I missed Andruw’s hr AND Adam’s second k. Way to go Adam!
Could betemit play first when chipper comes back? He certainly seems athletic enough, plus it means laroche is on the bench
walks…
c’mon guys …1 more out
thats fine – lets go ahead and get Wright’s last AB out of the way here
aight.. c’mon guys let’s get at least one run in here….
does Francouer’s glove look huge or is that just me
Nice. Now it’s time to get a couple of runs. Make that about 3+. We need Reitsma room.
That’s why Sosa should have walked Delgado…
Hmm, don’t walk folks ahead of Wright.
Good.
haha… yea it does sorta look big, but as long as it’s working good… lol
We’re gonna need a game typing HR from Andruw. He did get HBP the other day, *and* Chipper’s out, so its time for him to get into “Carry the team” mode.
Coupled with how badly he pitched last year, how long of a leash will horam be on once he gets back? With James pitching well, putting him into the rotation even solves our lefty problem…
Dang… well he almost got it!
So freakin’ close.
Just missed…
He better not freaking strikeout.
c’mon Adam… surprise us!
Bobby, how long do we have to watch this crap!
andruw really got under that, im amazed it even went that far.
ugh… oh well… at least he didn’t K
let’s get 3 outs and hope Jeff, Brian, and Wilson can come up with something for us!
hopefully, Frenchy will catch up to Wagner fastball
Wagner time its a wrap
That’s okay. Stop the Mets here, and you’ve got some guys who can stroke the double, plus a pinch hitter up. Feelin’ okay right now, even against Wagner.
csq,
I was thinking the same thing.
Sandman closes the game out
wagner is going to close it down dont worry
Sorry if this has already been asked, but is there any added functionality with the new batting helmets some of the teams (including the Mets) are wearing this year or are they wearing them merely for aesthetic reasons. I personally hate them.
I think they are supposed to be more aerodynamic.
Well, this is one game where a Chipper/Wagner matchup would suit me just fine.
here we go
ha
dam Nady was on fire today
2 down
dont you mean larry
Listen to sandman to close it
Well, the good news today is the bullpen: 4 perfect innings.
Sir Lance-a-lot has done his job.
about time pitching gets some good news they suck this year
Queen,
Yes, Larry Wayne Jones, Jr., a parental figure to the 718s.
Sutcliffe is an asshole.
He says all these great things about how amazing the Mets are tonight w/o Beltran but FAILED to mention the Braves are w/o Chipper Jones and Rentaria?
Disgusting, disgusting bias.
SCARED NOW
They’ve mentioned that atleast half a dozen times already…not sure what more you want.
Wagners wild 1-0 count
NOT TONIGHT THOUGH HA HA
1 OUT HA HA
MAN SERIOUS HEAT
Wagners wild
Why did we just PH Diaz for McCann??
…anyway, he got a HBP
Man, serious moron.
HES NOT AT HIS SHARPNESS NOW
HE GOT HIT ON PURPOSE
2 OUTS
So, the Braves only have Platt and little Pena on the bench…
Todd Pratt swinging for the fences here
Cause if Pratt only walks or singles then its up to Orr…..
I’m going to guess that we PHed for McCann because Wagner is tough on lefties, ignoring the apparent fact that Brian hits better against lefties.
The Red Sox came back like this earlier but they had Loretta at the plate, not Pratt.
queens team!!!!!!!!sand man baby.
Mets fans are very excited for april 17th
THIS AINT 99 WHAT IS HE GOING TO DO
Say what you want, but the Mets didn’t win that game, Jorge Sosa LOST it.
well… I say that was a pretty good game considering we’re missing 2 regs… and it was our worst against their best starter
HEAR THAT MOST BALANCED TEAM METS ALL DAY EVERY DAY
Good game guys … I like the show that the Bravos put on tonight. See all you guys tomorrow.
We lost, but it wasn’t the blow out I expected. Sosa was on the mound AND we’re without Chipper and Renteria. This was the toughest of the three matchups. I predict a series win.
WELL NO BELTRAN AND FLOYD LEFT EARLY TOO YOUR WORST YOU HAVE NO PITCHING
definately… the denfense can’t do anything about a HR
good game tonight, gotta start getting better efforts from Sosa though
NO PITCHING NO OFFENSE NO DEFENSE THAT IS THE BRAVES MOTTO THIS YEAR
Yeah, its hard to feel too bad about the game. We kept David Wright of the bases, so that’s nice. Sosa shouldn’t be allowed to pitch to Delgado. Its like HoRam and Kahlil Greene.
Wait, scratch that. Its Like HoRam against everyone.
Otherwise, the Mets didn’t dominate us like they did the AAA teams in our division, so that’s a good sign.
well… I’m out for the night… gotta go watch my bro’s game
good game braves, we win 4-3 what more can you ask for.
“The Braves released Triple-A Richmond’s Wes Obermueller with the intent to sell him to Japan’s Orix Buffaloes. ”
what are we selling him for (money or another player), I guess its not a good day for him though.
Oh, it probably is a good day. Usually the player (or his agent) instigates sales to Japan. And he’s going to make a lot more money as a gaijin than as an R-Brave.
Oh, and goodbye to QueensT. Should have had AOL, I guess.
how many stupid comments were made by the ESPN commentators, i mean seriously.
“You were looking for a powerhouse team in the NL, the Mets might be the most balanced team. They’re proving they’re the team to beat”
hasn’t being wrong the past 3 years taught these people anything?
i hate ESPN and baseball writers, end of story.
bah, the andrews link was right – has to be cut/pasted rather than followed. oops.
