Okay, some comments aren’t showing up on their first posting. Bear with me for awhile, we’re working on it. For now, I’ll just ask that you don’t repost if it doesn’t show up. Your comment should appear when the next comment comes in. I don’t know why this is happening, but it should be fixed within the next couple of days.
UPDATE: If you get an “Internal Server Error”, go back, copy your post, and reload the page, then post it again. I really am sorry, this is just bad timing.
Yeah, I ended up posting to the July 2 thread about 180 times, I think. But they didn’t just not show up, I was getting a generic “internal server error” message. Well, at least some of them are there now… oops.
It may be that we’re going to have to flush old comments. I don’t know. It’s happening on War Liberal too, I don’t know about BravesBeat.
I blame it on the Nats.
Hurry to your TV while they’re losing! It may not last long :-/
Let’s go Mets!
Nats finally lose. Looking at the minors for someone to replace Adam Badnero there is Jay Powell in the 7 games with AA he hasn’t been scored on in 8 innings and is 2-0. I don’t see Devine making it any time soon Barry AAA hasn’t done well this year and Bud Hernandez, well… where is he?
Why do people keep looking for a pitcher to replace Bernero on the roster? There are 13 pitchers on the roster already, and at least one more pitcher coming off the DL right after the all-star break. Bernero will be replaced by Hudson. Someone else needs to be sent down for a bat.
Send down Kolbb
It may be foolish, but I have some renewed optimism for Kolb. But even if it’s foolish, we all have to know that he’s going to be given at least one more good go around. I can understand it, and as long as there’s room to quickly throw him back up against the back of the bullpen, I think I’m game for now.
I’m still not comfortable with the current quantity (high) and quality (low) in the pen overall. I’d like it if they got another reliever… another good one, that is. But I imagine we’ll be this way until the break.
The Giants, who have given up seven runs through six innings today, dumped a man who is our primary setup guy. What does THAT tell you?
Sorry, 11 runs now.
I agree with Creynolds. You know they aren’t going to dump Kolb now, so you might as well ride this little string of luck for as long as you can because he’s not going anywhere. I too even have a little optimism for him. He’s got a little track record of success, so there’s something. Benero, on the other hand, couldn’t strike me out, and I just had shoulder surgery, and he has NO track record. Not only does Benero need to be released, but he should be so far out of baseball he’s selling used cars in Starke, Florida.
