Not necessarily inconsistent. Turner Field is more or less neutral, while Petco is a severe pitcher’s park; the Braves also should be better than the Padres. Loretta could be better than Giles but not look it unless you look far deeper than your average MVP voter.

It’s certainly possible if he avoids another fluke injury. I like Giles a lot and believe him capable of winning an MVP, but he’ll need to rpove that he can perform at his best consistently an entire year.

I like the summary on Furcal. Mystery man.
I just have this feeling that he will put up the same sometimes brilliant, sometimes brutal he always has for us, sign somewhere else in the winter, and have a monster 2006 for somebody else.
He then ranks Loretta ahead of Giles for second basemen. So much for consistency.
