JS Online: Brewers deal Ginter to Oakland

How this affects the potential Hudson deal, I don’t know. It does mean that whatever interest the A’s had in Green (and I never thought they had much) would be gone. The A’s might be more interested in an outfielder or could trade for all pitching prospects. They traded an outfielder and a pitcher in the deal.

It also means that I have four Oakland second basemen on my keeper APBA team. Don’t ask me how that happened.

UPDATE: Just a thought. If Marcus were back on the table, the A’s could trade Ginter to the Braves as his replacement. I’m just saying. Ginter’s a good player, though I don’t know that many are convinced of his ability to play second base every day. He’s broudly similar to another former Brewer, Mark Loretta, and Loretta’s become a minor star now that he’s finally getting to play everyday.
