Yesterday, the Braves moved AJ Smith-Shawver to the IL with a strained left oblique. They also recalled Ray Kerr to the bigs, where he got destroyed (I still think there’s SP potential there). And in the most surprisng move, signed Joey Wendle to a MLB contract.

I thought for sure that Joey Wendle would get the nod over Zack Short, but admittedly, I know Alex Anthopouols’s brain much better than Brian Snitker‘s. Help us, Reynaldo Lopez. We all know that Pirates are from the dark side.
Lopez can’t hit or field and the amount that this team shoots itself in the foot on offense and defense is unbelievable. Zero spark with this group. Something has been off for 6 weeks.
Maybe this has been discussed, but exactly why isn’t Austin Riley on the IL?
