The Braves let one get away last night and Collin McHugh turned into Collin McPugh, giving up 4 runs in 1.1 innings of work. McHugh hasn’t been right for awhile now. He’s carrying a 4.42 ERA since 5/23 and is carrying his 2nd worst K/9 and BB/9 of his career. I thought he’d be a shoo-in for his 2024 $6MM option, but I’m now not so sure that AA will bite. Tonight, Bryce Elder takes the mound against Austin Gomber, a LHP whose scouting report is likely “meh”.

My favorite player is back! Ozzie Albies, who I think is the real glue between the Latin and American players, is back Darius Vines will, at some point, likely get to make his debut in Colorado, of which I’m sure he’s thrilled about. Vaughn Grissom and Jared Shuster are the active roster casualties and I’m completely ok with that.
I can’t wait to see what Darius can show us. I keep hoping someone will break from the pack and maybe Darius is the one.
Ryan McMahon hits .252 and we can’t get that dude out. Take away his average against us and he is hitting like .210.
RIP, Pat Corrales.

Very sad to hear about the passing of Corrales. Always one of Bobby’s guys

I know it is arguable how much impact a hitting coach has, but it is hard to fault the work that Seltzer has done. Up and down the lineup, our approach is excellent. If we don’t figure out a pitcher the first time through the order, we usually demolish him the second time.
Gone to Colorado; be right back.
