Spencer Strider has found his mark in his last 1 outings, throwing a total of 14 innings, giving up 4 hits, 0 runs, and striking out 16. He’ll be facing off against Logan Webb, who was pitching pretty well before he ran into the Braves offense last week and gave up 9 hits and 4 runs in 6 innings. Still, it’s a great pitching matchup and both offenses have their work cut out for them.
Braves Lineup
Michael Soroka Update
Soroka pitched for the Stripers tonight and through 5 innings, he was cruising: 0 runs, 0 hits. Unfortunately, the 6th inning was overkill: walk, single, double, single, and pulled. Soroka was charged with 4 runs, but was an absolute monster on the mound until he got bad lucked to death. If the Braves keep him down until September 13th, they’ll gain an extra year of control and I’m guessing that will be the course they take.
Late night and I’m toast. If you have Twitter and you want to know some crazy stuff that went on with me this week, check this out.
Oh, Ryan, I’m so sorry. Good luck!
Makes for a great story. By the way, there’s a happy ending. The car will finally be here at my house on Monday!
That’s crazy. Glad it is working out well. Now the guy has the “pleasure” of getting to know Mrs. Cothran!
Lol Mets in sole possession of last place
What’s even funnier is that both New York teams are in last place in their divisions. The Yankees easily own the bottom spot, winning 2 of their last 10 and being 5.5 games behind the BoSox.
It cannot be said too many times. Both NY teams in last place. Hee Haw.
