Wouldn’t it be nice if for once our starting pitcher just called up from the minors shut down an opposing offense?
jj3bagger
on May 26, 2007 at 1:10 pm
Mac, I would have went with a little Buddy Holly from Weezer, but that’s just me.
Ron makes a great point. I swear that if the Mets pitched Oliver Perez and 3 guys just up from AA or AAA, the Braves would get swept no question. It would be fantastic for that to happen for the Braves just once. Other than Davies at Fenway, I can’t recall any other time that’s happened in recent memory. Maybe Terrell Hiawatha Wade pitched a good game once, I just can’t recall.

“That’ll Be The Day” is one of the greatest songs ever.
Braves have been looking sluggish again, with five hits apiece in the last two games. I hope they can put on a show today on Fox, but chances are, they’ll show the Cleveland/Detroit game scheduled for the same time slot in this area. I’ll be looking to the posters for updates.
Go Braves.

It’s not coming on MLB.TV. Does anyone know how to get around it?
Also, I think Kelly is a good defensive 2B. He has made a couple of high profile errors, but he has made many more nice plays and handled most of the routine stuff.
Look at the range he just showed on Howard’s 2nd inning, lead-off single to right–that Kelly turned into Out 1.
He only has 4 errors and is in the top 10 in MLB in range factor and zone rating.
1. Are you allowed to complain about bunting to break up a no-hitter in the third inning?
2. I know there are NASCAR haters out there and I don’t watch anymore myself… but it figures that an ex-Yankee would be a Jeff Gordon fan.
Kyle B.
on May 26, 2007 at 3:32 pm
Personally, I don’t watch much NASCAR, but I never really understood the Jeff Gordon hating. He seems to win a lot. It has to be more than luck, right? What can’t a majority of NASCAR fans just admit he can drive?

that was fair by the way, more bad umpiring. Can you not argue any more without getting tossed?

Wow, this is bizarre. I think the players are really tired of Bobby getting the early hook. I don’t really think he does much to get tossed most of the time. I read something Chipper said about it being a joke that Bob Davidson runs Cox so quickly. Maybe Smoltz was standing up for Bobby as Bobby has for him so many times …

I’m getting it on Mlb.tv Rob…
Nice job Edgar…
I’m in CA right now but my MLB account is in New York if that makes any difference.
I love Willie Harris. He’s playing with much more focus and purpose as a Brave than he has in the past for both Sox.
He said playing for the Braves was a goal of his professional career and he’s making it happen. Heart matters.
He may not have the power to be a star, but he has more than enough bat control, speed and defense to be an asset to this team for a few years.
Go Fast Willie!
