Hahaha, Sansho that’s great. It makes sense if you think about, anyone that commits themselves to being a Langerhans fan to that magnitude has to be smoking something.

Bad, bad matchup tonight. Still, let’s find a way.
Re: The Who vid.
Hard to get better than that era of The Who & I’ve never seen that abbreviated, lip-synched version.

I’m gonna have to go under. It’s a damn good think we won last night, because this is about as bad as pitching matchups get. I will actually be fairly shocked if we manage to win this one.
Jay, I think it was Harris’ 2nd or 3rd AB, not sure. The Langer Hands were yukking it up with three guys sitting in the row in front of them — look for the middle of the three guys when the camera returns to them after a pitch.

Redman prediction: 4 innings 7 hits 5 runs 2 walks 2 strikeouts. I first typed 5 innings, ut I mean this is Redman we’re talking aout.
Yeah Sansho, I just saw it, it was in the sixth. It definitely looks suspicious. He had both of his hands and mouth against his cup and he was leaned over.
I was at that game & the people in my section (all Met fans, but about 4) were saying, “What kind of idiot is that?”
We were thinking it was a mirror or a laser pointer. But it was funny because Hudson just stopped & told the ump, “That’s the guy—get him.” And he was out of there in about 45 seconds.

That was the first hit on a ball that was down, but BMac had to be looking there after everything was up and he hadn’t gotten the change up yet. Didn’t hit the mess out of it, but put a good swing on it and good things happen.
Does anyone know how Salty’s defense is? Cause all the beating McCann takes back there and all the passed balls maybe he would welcome a move to first.

A pitcher has to give his team a chance. I don’t care what position you are in the rotation. This is beyond not acceptable. I think the experiment is over.
He had to reach out to catch Redman’s 69 MPH heat and got hit on the back of the hand. He walked around for a couple of seconds and tried to resume. He then let a ball get passed him(because of the hand) and was pulled to go get it looked at.

Here’s some guys that are currently in our farm system. Note, all I did was look up their numbers so far this year, so I doubt most of these guys are projected starters or ready for the big leagues. I think we should give the shot to Villarreal. For now. But just in case anyone was wondering how some of our pitchers are fairing, here we go.
Richmond:
Anthony Lerew- 0-0 1.83 ERA 19.2 IP 10 K 8 BB
Will Startup- 0-0 2.38 ERA 11.1 IP 9 K 4 BB
Macay McBride(we were thinking about it in spring training)- 1-0 0.96 ERA 9.1 IP 10 K 6 BB
Paul Bush- 1-0 1.74 ERA 10.1 IP 10 K 5 BB

Matt Harrison- 3-0 2.45 ERA 25.2 IP 19 K 10 BB
Jo-Jo Reyes- 1-1 ERA 3.04 ERA 26.2 IP 24 K 12 BB
Dan Smith- 3-1 1.95 ERA 27.2 IP 28 K 8 BB

I think they’re precisely that stupid and that if we came with a couple of more minor league starters they’d do it. Their team ERA is 6.01, so bad that they’re 11-14 despite one of the AL’s better offenses.

On the plus side for us, the Rays may believe that they won’t be able to keep their current center fielder, so they deal him for 50 cents on the dollar.
See, this is why I’m not a reporter. I wouldn’t be able to resist asking Bobby when he was going to pull Redman from the rotation, or Redman if he felt that he was stealing money from the team and should give his salary to charity.
Redman now with an ERA over 10.00 after 5 starts…why do we keep sending him to the mound? Nice to see Andruw step it up Francoeur style last night in the clutch!
We could probably get Lowry from the Giants. They have a full staff that is pitching well but they have a kid named Tim Lincecum that is putting up unbelievable numbers.
Pete: “Tomorrow is a [giant restaurant chain that isn’t paying me anything] outfield advantage game. Lower level outfield pavilion seats are two for $20. The pitching matchup is Chuck James versus Freddy Garcia.”

Colyer picking off two guys in one inning…not bad.
James
on May 1, 2007 at 9:13 pm
I’ve never seen anybody pull that off twice in an inning. Bizarre. I’ll take it.
The bullpen has been good enough for us to get back in this ballgame, but when we allowed Hamels to get off the hook in the first, we missed an opportunity to get him outta here earlier. Probably gonna come back to bite us.
One thing seems clear this year; JS isn’t waiting as long as he did last year. My first bet: Redman’s gone after this game. The second, Davies is on a short leash. I also bet, looking at how Moylan is pitching, that he’s going to be the new Vulture, ready to sweep in, pitch 3 innings, and get the win. Hopefully, he won’t have any other resemblance to the old Vulture. The old one, I also will bet, is going to find himself in the starting rotation shortly. He won’t be a lot better than Davies, but he’ll beat the hell out of Homo Ruber. And when Davies screws up, we’ll see Lerew or another AAA pitcher. Okay, them’s my bets, and now I’m off to my Gambler’s Anon. meeting.
And his head is huge. His mugshot on Gameday barely fits. Actually, compared to Paronto…

Lowry is 26 years old, three years from free agency, has a winning record and an ERA better than the league both for this season and for his career. I doubt that the Giants would trade him, considering that Russ Ortiz is in their rotation. Not that Ortiz wouldn’t be a huge upgrade on Homo Reber.

Well, the Fish have already begun to light up Pelphrey at Shea. So maybe we’ll be playing with house money tonight.
I can’t make a genuine prediction on Redrum—it’s too depressing.
*—It’s Pelfrey. Silly me.
Looks like Redman may be a little off with his step. Might be a little close to the first base side.
This isn’t going to be good…
Play with fire…
Lucky break getting The Arch-Nemesis Chase Utley on the first pitch. That pitch shoulda been hammered.
That was a better pitch than the one to Utley. It was down and away and Howard couldn’t get enough of it.
Let’s hope we see the normal Pat Burrell…..yep
Dodged a bullet there.
C’mon Slop Boy…
At some point those solid hits will be in the gaps and not right at the fielders…glad we got out of it though
Langerhans just struck out by the way against Schilling
Just now, Redrum’s ERA sank below 10.00. He’s rockin’ a 9.61 at this point.
Kelly Johnson is HOT FIRE
KJ is our new badass.
alright well no need for Edgar to screw up the bunt.
GOOOOOOOO BYE BYE
yahoo for Chipper
Chippah!
Chipper = The man 2-0
CHIPPER!!!!
We’re gonna need ’em all tonight.
Hamels is leaving EVERYTHING up in the zone. We need to get everything we can before he figures it out.
Skip on WGST: “And the Mets are losing—life is sweet.”
Man, James you said it…both singles were high. I love this!
BMAC!!
Ok that TWO in 3 games Snitker…
Nice Mccann, cant say the same for frenchy
Brian Sn*tker must be the worst third base coach I’ve seen yet. I miss Jimy Williams.
That was the first hit on a ball that was down, but BMac had to be looking there after everything was up and he hadn’t gotten the change up yet. Didn’t hit the mess out of it, but put a good swing on it and good things happen.
Sn*tker should have to pay Diaz for the RBI he just lost him.
If Redman gives these runs back this inning I shall be very angry
Come on Redman….
His M.O. says he’ll give up a 3 run jack here.
Uh oh…Brian is hurting
As with all things Redman, this inning is going to hell in a hurry.
If there’s anything Redman could do more destructive that allow a bunch of runs, it’s somehow injure McCann.
McCann should take Redman’s days off.
Helms could have scored there. Redman’s worse than bad.
If I’m Manuel I tell Hamels to stand up there and watch every pitch. Don’t take the chance on the double play.
Great … run scores and McCann’s out. Thanks, Redman!
Does anyone know how Salty’s defense is? Cause all the beating McCann takes back there and all the passed balls maybe he would welcome a move to first.
I don’t blame Bobby for leaving him in to try and gut it out, but you gotta wonder if Pena makes that play.
Damn….McCann is coming out…let’s hope he’s going to be ok.
Pena looks like Sucre from Prison Break.
There goes the lead.
how did i know he’d give these runs back
I think the ERA is back over 10
He’s like a magician — he can make any lead disappear!
Gore:
because there’s nobody in Vegas that would give you the better odds on that vote.
Redman is just amazing.
Skip: “Roger [McDowell] is on the phone & he’s not calling Domino’s.”
Forget that. Why is Redman allowed to live?
He might as well call Domino’s. I’ll vote for the delivery guy taking a crack. If Redman gets anothers start after this I’ll lose it.
Wow, Josh Boone just got a great alley-hoop pass from Kidd…but the Nets are getting man handled. 🙁
I hate him so much.
Please bring in anybody.
Bases loaded…
BOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
WTF happened to McCann? I turned the game on just in time to hear him get pulled for Pena.
It worked for Langerhans … so when do all posts include the phrase “Redman must be destroyed”?
don’t you just kind of wish Burrell gets an extra base hit to get Redman out of there already?
A pitcher has to give his team a chance. I don’t care what position you are in the rotation. This is beyond not acceptable. I think the experiment is over.
He had to reach out to catch Redman’s 69 MPH heat and got hit on the back of the hand. He walked around for a couple of seconds and tried to resume. He then let a ball get passed him(because of the hand) and was pulled to go get it looked at.
agreed!
Can we import fans from Talladega to throw beer cans at Redman’s head?
Great, not only does he suck, he’s gettin squeezed.
gift there on ball 4
Oh come on…that was more of a strike then than the last one.
once but not twice
I hope this is his last game as a Brave
REDMAN MUST BE RELEASED
YEAH…NO MORE REDMAN
Redman must never be allowed near a pitching mound again unless it is for the Mets.
Great, wait until the lead is gone and the situation is still desperate.
Can we waive Redman right now, right this very instant?
I’m sorry, but no matter who’s out there, they can’t do worse than him. It’s impossible.
Hey El Duke went on the DL for the mutts, maybe we can give Redman to them
And we shall soon witness the majesty of an Oscar Villareal-at bat, the 12th of his five-season career. Lifetime average: .000 … Lifetime OPS: .000.
Well, Redman got bit by some bad luck there with the catcher interference. He was making better pitches, but he just wasn’t getting it done. You just have to wonder how much better we would have done if we had just given Oscar the start.
OK, I know redman is aweful, but this ump might be worse. At least be consistant with your cruddy strike zone!
I think we just got the answer.
Lets not forget that Redman was an all-star last year.
My god, I can’t even fathom how bad the rest of the Royals team must have been.
I mean, it’s Joe West. I hold him to a high standard.
I can’t imagine why Villareal wasn’t given a shot in the rotation to start the year. He was reasonably effective by back of the rotation standards last year.
whoa there Weldon, he faced 14 guys allowed 5 hits, 3 bb, one reached on the error and got 5 outs. Sometimes you make your own luck and Redman’s is just BAD.
WHOA caught a break there
Just hopped on…how bad is Redman tonight? I can’t even imagine…
Alex R:
bad enough that he’s gone
got away with one there
Redman was so bad he had me missing Albie Lopez.
Let’s say I need some large scale smoothing. What are my options?
The thing is, Redman’s been bad for years. This shouldn’t surprise anyone. It’s like JS just forgot that the guy who can turn around sucky pitchers has left the team.
great new look for the site. especially happy that it doesn’t scroll back to the top of the page when you refresh.
oh and redman must be destroyed!
Mr. Swings,
you may have to try someone else. I’m watching a game here.
If Vulture gets down that bunt, it’s a tie ball game.
After Redman is eventually released, I figure I’m going with Snitker delenda est.
After we deal with Redman, what do we do about Davies? We have to deal for a starter.
7-5-4-2-6 on the putout for those scoring at home. And if you are scoring at home….get a life.
this team stinks on the bases!
We’re skipping Davies this time in the rotation. I wouldn’t mind seeing us leave him in the ‘pen for a while and let Villareal get a shot on Redman’s next start.
Just Vulture being Vulture…
I say give Anthony Lerew a shot until we can trade for a starter. And why is Cormier hurt again? Hanging with Hampton?
anybody remember that game last year where bobby sent out mcdowell to get sosa out of there? I thought we were going to see a replay with Redman.
At Mississipp(probably not ready yet):
Matt Harrison- 3-0 2.45 ERA 25.2 IP 19 K 10 BB
Jo-Jo Reyes- 1-1 ERA 3.04 ERA 26.2 IP 24 K 12 BB
Dan Smith- 3-1 1.95 ERA 27.2 IP 28 K 8 BB
Ryan Basner- 0-0 0.00 ERA 12.0 IP 9 K 4 BB
Kelvin Villa- 2-1 4.18 ERA 23.2 IP 20 K 17 BB
Charlie Morton- 2-1 4.97 ERA 12.2 IP 12 K 10 BB
Zach Schreiber- 2-0 0.69 ERA 13.0 IP 11 K 9 BB
Yeesh. Are we sure we can’t just go to a 4 man rotation and have Davies, Redman, and Villareal try not to suck on the 4th day for 2 innings each?
Does anyone recall one instance where a pitcher started pitching better after a visit by McDowell? Just one?
To quote Mac:
WE WANT LEREW! WE WANT LEREW!
There we go Oscar….
Hey Jay10…thanks for posting the Minor league stats. Seems we have plenty of possible replacements for the crud we currently have in the Majors.
Alex R.
No problem, I was wondering myself how our guys were doing. I was actually a little surprised on how well most of them are pitching.
Redman must be released tonight! The likes of Barry, Lerew, Bush from AAA couldn’t be worse until Cormier returns. I’m thinking we make a deal for SP after the all-star break.
Any ideas who we wind up replacing Redman with? Think the Indians would part with Carmona for Salty and is that a do-able deal, or is there a more do-able one out there?
Yeah, and how about that Will Startup?
Seriously…there are way too many guys putting up numbers to continue to have to suffer through the likes of Davies and Redman. And Vulture too. Yeesh.
Think the Indians would part with Carmona for Salty and is that a do-able deal, or is there a more do-able one out there?
That’s an utter ripoff. There’s no way to justify moving Salty in a moment of panic.
I was at Publix earlier and Lance Cormier’s wife said that this deal is on the table:
Braves get
Scott Kazmir
R*cc* B*ld*ll*
D-Rays get
Kyle Davies
Macay McBride
Jerrod Saltalamacchia
Will Startup
Yeah I’m still not sure Carmona is far enough recovered from his gas can impersonation in the bullpen last year.
Mac has a better idea for a trade if he chooses to post it. It won’t happen but I love the idea.
Mac, you think the D-Rays are that stupid?
If we got Scott Kazmir, I think we might get about a dozen mets fans to committ suicide.
oh, never mind…I guess I needed to scroll up.
and NO…the D-Rays would never ever do it.
Getting Kazmir would make up for the heartbreak of the Mets GETTING Glavine and then keeping him again this offseason.
Just looking at more minor league stuff….
Gregor Blanco went deep for the first time last game. He’s currently at…
.338/.427/.415 1 HR 6 RBI 12 R 3 SB (in 19 games)
I think they’re precisely that stupid and that if we came with a couple of more minor league starters they’d do it. Their team ERA is 6.01, so bad that they’re 11-14 despite one of the AL’s better offenses.
Hudson and Smoltz and pray for bolts (of lightning). That’s the best I can do.
Yeah, if we can get rid of Langerhans to make room for a potentially better player, then Redman has to be next?
Wow…I didn’t realize the D-rays were so close to .500. That’s a surprise.
On the plus side for us, the Rays may believe that they won’t be able to keep their current center fielder, so they deal him for 50 cents on the dollar.
Any news yet on McCann?
Dustin,
As far as I know, nothing has been mentioned.
I am thinking that maybe I should translate “redman” into Latin. I think that it would be “homo rufus”, though, which sounds dirty.
When will Tanyon Sturtze be ready? He can save us.
Actually, I think Elijah Dukes is playing center with Baldelli DHing.
1-2-3 for Oscar…niice.
Yeah, Dukes is the CF.
Redman ERA over 10.00 after 5 starts…why do we keep putting him on the mound? Nice to see Andruw step it up in the clutch last night!
DIAZ!
They have a full staff that is pitching well but they have a kid named Tim Lincecum that is putting up unbelievable numbers.
http://www.rotoauthority.com/2007/04/lincecum_whiffs.html
Pete: “Tomorrow is a [giant restaurant chain that isn’t paying me anything] outfield advantage game. Lower level outfield pavilion seats are two for $20. The pitching matchup is Chuck James versus Freddy Garcia.”
Me: “So if you want to catch a home run ball, here’s your chance.”
Mac:
That’s why Bill Simmons writes the way he does. He couldn’t stand the regular media guys.
Mac,
the deal you mentioned with TB would be great, but are they really that stupid? They need pitching. Kazmir is all the have, shouldn’t they try to build around him, not deal him?
Honestly, though, I’m not sure how I’d react to that deal. I really don’t wanna lose Startup, for one thing.
That’s four doubles for us in this game, and only one of them scored (though one did drive in a run).
Jay10,
I also have read rumbling about SF possibly trading Lowry, also. I wonder what they’d want in return, probably less than TB, I’d guess.
Either the bama dude is a little slow or he can’t read…….not that it suprises me 😉
Well we all know how old they are…so maybe a couple of young prospects.
Moylan has some nasty pitches, hopefully he’ll keep us in this one!!
Watch it, James.
I wonder what the attitude of our bullpen is everytime Mark Redrum starts. Do they think, “yeah, I’d better be ready to pitch the 4th”? or do they think “why can’t I start and he be sitting here?”
Petros:
I’m guessing the start limbering up right around first pitch. Better to get a head start, maybe you’ll get to go in first.
seriously though, who replaces Redman? Villareal, Lerew, Harrison, Reyes, Cormier, but he’s not ready
Effortless running catch for Druw…ima miss that 🙁
have faith Jay
Idk Jay, I think if we can make the playoffs we can keep Druw. Though if we do not make the playoffs, I see no real justification for the payday he’s going to demand.
I was thinking “Redman delenda est” as I was loading the site.
Yep.
I would like to see what Lerew or Harrison get a chance. Other teams are fine with going to their young guys, why are we so reluctant to bring up our guys and put them in the rotation? Besides James and Davies.
CSG, in the words of (I think) Charlie Dressen: “Send in the batboy, he can’t be any worse.” Well, unless it’s the Mets’ batboy.
Do you think that Cook’s Pest Control might do something about our Redman problem? There has to be a spray for this thing.
Free Henry Rowengartner!!!
http://imdb.com/title/tt0107985/
I loved that movie…hahaha
All I could think of when Vulture fanned Helms was “And you can close the book on Redman….THANK GOD!”
cmon Chip
Hamels has had to throw a lot of pitches for this early. Hopefully we can grab a run or two off of the good start to this inning and get to their ‘pen early.
Dubee, Dubee, Du…
Come on Chipper…let’s get into that bullpen.
question, while there talking about nothing…
Whats a better movie.
1. The Natural
2. 61
Natural, hands down.
That sucks…let’s go Druw!
Natural…although I really liked 61.
Andruw is trying to pull everything.
Damn.
When your leadoff man improves upon his .473 OBP in 3 plate appearances, you should be winning.
Bamachum is secretly Joe Simpson!
its all in his stance “it looks awkward” haha.
KJ!!! Whata play!
If Kelly isn’t an all star, they need to just get rid of the game.
The Natural. Not even close IMHO
I love and hate Pat Burrell all at the same time. ‘Pen’s doing a good job of at least keeping us close.
And he does it again…wow…
And THAT is why Ryan Howard has been walked 20 times more than anybody else since the break last year.
nice swing Jeff
great swing Jeff
we K way too much, bruised finger for McCann..thats good news
McCann…bruised left ring finger, x-rays negative.
The middle of their lineup is 1 for 8 with 1 RBI and 1 run, while our leadoff guy has been on base 2 of 3 times. We should be leading by 3.
anyone else think this platoon situation is wearing on diaz?
Is there a batter that looks more awful at the plate than Brayan Pena? I mean, he hacks at everything, and that swing is just ugly.
Actually, Matt Diaz isn’t much better. He can drive you crazy with the swings he takes on impossible pitches.
Bledsoe informs me that “Red Man” would be “Homo Ruber”, which is if anything even more disturbing.
Don’t you just love Joe West. He clearly loves his job! Love the way the Braves pen is still keeping us in this! Love the new site Mac as well as your choice of You.Tube tonight. Jared, when are going to be in Kansas?
That sucks
Damn it, I guess I just jinxed the pen!
damnit…Nets fell 98-96…but we were down by like 15 throughout the game.
Florida does it again. With marginal talent, the team finds a way to win. Go fish. Actually, Go (any team that happens to be playing the Mets).
9 pitch at-bat….to a pitcher!?!
At least the Mets lost…5-2
Yahoo’s having issues. Currently, Chase Utley is playing for both teams, homered and doubled in the first, and batted 4 straight times in the 2nd.
What exactly is a “pickle stacker”?
I REALLY hope Willie sticks with the two flap batting helmet. I’m having Grissom flashbacks…the good kind
KJ just about got us going–3 runs is a tall order…
Phillip Hughes has a no-hitter going in the 7th.
Hopefully Hamels won’t be out for the next inning. We can start to abuse thier sorry pen.
Colyer Alert. Everyone in the center field stands – heads up.
Someone mentioned Carmona earlier…he was just sent down.
Manuel getting tossed…hahahaha
That was a balk
Willingham had a hella game for the Fish tonight.
Watching the Yankees kid Hughes go for it in the 7th. You gotta see his curveball. It’s sick.
Colyer picking off two guys in one inning…not bad.
Hughes got the first out in the 7th, 2 strikes on the next hitter, then hurt his hamstring. They took him out.
Ububba–you beat me to the post–ESPN is following the game pretty closely–Hughes’ pithces look really wicked….
Langerhans, 0-2 2k’s
Alright there’s one back.
Chippa!!!
Chipper!!!
Is gameday acting wonky for anyone else? It keeps replaying the Utley at bat over and over.
Chippah 2x!
Chipper!!
Nogbogfrog–I had to get off Gameday because mine was stuck as well–I am using the once on CBS Sportsline…
well Hughes might live up to his hype, great game today…hamstrings arent good injuries however
put one of these in play Druw
or not
2-out hitting for Frenchy…
C’mon, we can 2 more runs. Way to go, Frenchy.
FYI—Myers got the next 2 outs in the 7th. Still no hits for Texas, who pulled the same trick recently vs. Mark Buehrle.
ububba, i didnt even think about that!
Why does Pena have to suck so much?
great! What 7-8-9 due up in the 9th?
well, we’ll have to get something out of Wilson, Diaz, and Orr!
I kinda hope the Yankees get it, just so that I can hear radio voice John Sterling do his end-game hand-caught-in-a-car-door routine.
The guy is an embarrassment to humanity, Mark Redman notwithstanding.
Langerhans was pinch hit for in Oakland, who came back to beat the Red Sox in extras.
THAT GUY IS FAST!
come on colyer…throw the damn ball.
Okay, them’s my bets, and now I’m off to my Gambler’s Anon. meeting.
Texas broke up the no-hitter. Now I can change the channel.
Paronto coming in…
Watching Wes Helms bunt is painful.
And his head is huge. His mugshot on Gameday barely fits. Actually, compared to Paronto…
Jeff M.–I hope you are right about Redman: he has got to go. He was awful last year, has not improved, and we do not need to see a full season of him–one month is enough.
c’mon P!
Jeff, I agree with most of what you said. Except I think Villareal will be better than Davies
If the Braves lose this game, it will be 10 losses. And REDman pitched…4 of them? or 5?
There we go Paronto….now put that sinker to work and get us a DP
K–Pronto Paronto…
way to go big P!
big out here
csg, I agree (I just said that he wouldn’t be a lot better). I’m peddling diminished expectations here. And realistically, he doesn’t need to be much better. He just needs to throw strikes. With our offense, a 4th or 5th starter just needs to keep us in the game by limiting damage. The best way of doing so is usually by throwing strikes.
I hope they announce that Bobby just told Redmand to go ahead and take two weeks off and then quit…
I like the Noah Lowry idea…send Salty for a pitcher somewhere
I just hope that they don’t announce that the Braves players or coaches don’t take soap wrapped by towels to him–that never ends as well as it ought to.
Salty for Lowry is, again, a ripoff. I don’t want the Braves trading their good prospects for mediocre pitching just because they’re in a bind right now.
more walks!
What’s the injury delay?
Gameday says it’s an injury delay. What’s up?
Yay a strike
I didnt say Salty for Lowry
I don’t think it would cost that much for Lowry, I was think more on the lines of Escobar or Prado and then a low prospect.
Agreed–I rather suspect that we get somebody like Kevin Barry (not pitching badly at Richmond) or Trey Hodges or the Vulture in Redman’s spot. Just don’t send us Jonathan Johnson! It is better to try a stopgap for the moment than rush Lerew or Harrison if they are not ready. Of course, virtually any of these options are better than Redman…
Pena just got hit in the face
Yes!
Did Pena get hit in the face by the bat?!?!?!
keep Escobar, now that Kelly has proven himself. Prado has no real value to us. I see us cutting ties with Edgar next year, save some $$$
did pena get layed out on that swing?! it looked and sounded like it.
Why does Bobby routinely bring in Soriano with a five-run lead, but with a two-run deficit, he pitches his scrubs? Who haven’t pitched in over two weeks? I don’t get it.
Really dodged a bullet there.
Jay, he got hit hard. I was wondering if I was the only one who caught that
That did not look good in real time. Hope it looked worse than it really is.
Yeah, I believe he’s making $10 mil this year.
Let’s get a runner on so KJ can save us.
Two runs. Now.
I saw that too. It looked like Pena got hit by the backswing!
Also, there’s a good chance Salty will be up tomorrow, considering recent events.
Mac, true.
Diaz, Wilson, Thor, Johnson…by the way Gordon sucks
Redman must be destroyed!
Wow! He was hit hard! The Phailies are taking out our catchers left and right.
Diaz does his Langy imitation…
Well…judging by the comments, it seems like Redman was in fine form today again.
He is consistent, I’ll give him that…
feast or famine with our lineup
4 runs is a pretty good meal.
:*(
Bad game….Redman..injuries…
only good parts about tonight were Chipper and the Mets losing, so we’re still in first.
Well, the $50 million question is who starts at catcher tomorrow. I’m guessing Craig Wilson.
I’m guessing Pena will go on the DL — even if it’s not a concussion — and Salty or Miller will be called up.
I hope it’s Salty….
I just wanna see what he can do in the majors.
Whoever it is, someone (Redman) would have to be released (Redman) to make room on the 40-man roster (Redman). Neither Salty nor Corky is on the 40-man.
REDMAN MUST BE CHAWED AND SPAT OUT!
There must be someone at Richmand who can perform better than this>
Hey, we’re still 15-10 though
