Did everyone see the article about Soriano refusing to take the field today? The Globe version comes with a fairly hilarious picture of Frank Robinson. I hope they put Soriano on the disqualified list; I still hate him for those killer HRs in the 2001 WS with the Yankees. This whole thing is just too funny.

I guess my use of the “she” pronoun was a bit confusing. Only the dog is Murphy. The girlfriend is human and often jealous and complaining of the dog being #1.

Murphy is actually a female. I would like to make her the official mascot of the Murphy to the HOF cause, except that I’m afraid it would require her to wear cloths. Her UGA handkerchief on game days is a far as I dare tread down that road. Maybe I’ll start looking for a baby blue (think ’82) handkerchief with #3 on it to wear when division rivals are in town.
on a related note, I met a girl at a park onetime that said her brother had two bassets, a male and female, named Dale and Murphy. Which made me feel a bit better about the gender-bending moniker.

There are a few pictures of me online, I think, but probably none where I don’t look either wasted or unfavorable (or both). Some people have said I look like some dude from Dawson’s Creek, but since I’ve never watched Dawson’s Creek, I wouldn’t know.
