ESPN.com – MLB – Box Score – Braves at Astros
Braves 10, Astros 6. This is not a recap, but Jurries had three hits, two of them doubles, KJ had two hits, and Travis Smith predictably sucked but was credited with a win anyway. The game was so relevant that Cesar Crespo played right field.
Talk amongst yourselves.
This will be my last post until the season starts. Good luck to your braves.
To The few retards in this web site. You live up to the southern hype, your white trash. hill Billy, inbred, hicks. And what’s even more funny is that all by myself I was able to make any that argued me look like a damn fool. you would think that the 7-8 of you would be able to defend your self and make at least one good argument against me but you couldn’t. This so called ” 12 year old ” took your man hood away from you and I made you look bad in your own web site. All I can say is I feel sorry for you. IM not angry with you, I just feel bad. It’s like me beating someone up in a wheel chair. Feel free to talk about me while IM gone if it helps you feel like a man again. Maybe it will help with your self confidence. I’ll take it as a compliment when you mention me—It shows I affected you that much you need to talk about me while IM gone and can’t defend myself, just so you can cope with your own short comings.
Cheers
Dan
I just surfed in today to check on my Braves after being offline for over a week. I have no idea what’s going on with the above poster, but I can only assume he’s a Mets fan.
Do I win anything? 🙂
Oh…just now saw his ID…NY METS. If he’d have thrown in “illiterate”, he’d have been right!
Boy, those Mets fans…it’s funny, whenever the Yankees come to town, I might bump into one of them getting mustard on their hot dog. I’m honest with them, I’ll say, “Look, I hate the Yankees. Hate them. But at least they’re not the Mets.”
Then we have a good laugh. Yankees fans understand.
He said his name is Dan! He said his name is Dan!
Okay, gang, let’s pile out of the Mystery Machine and see who this monster really is… Monsieur Kolb, j’accuse!
Well, I hate the Yankees more than I hate the Mets, and it’s not even close. The Yankees actually beat teams I like. When have the Mets ever done that? It’s on a different level.
Yeah, “Dan Kolb” was mildly amusing in one of his rants that I read a few posts down. One of the few reasons that I’m ashamed to be a New Yorker is that type of fan: infantile, immature, uneducated, unknowledgeable about the sport that he claims to care about.
It is funny how your team never gets respect, even after beating the odds and all of the predictions of the experts two years running. As far as I’m concerned, Mets fans can start talking about my team once they’ve made the playoffs in this millennium.
But as I read in a post a few weeks ago, we do have to thank someone who had a hand in the Mets organization for sealing the fate of the Mets for this year. Thank you Steve Phillips for counting us out, hopefully your streak of getting everything wrong will blissfully continue.
Guys, I really don’t blame Dan Kolb for coming back and venting after some of the things that were said.
Korea-Japan was awesome. Japan was up until the 8th when the underdog Koreans went ahead on a 2-run HR. A lot was made on ESPN2 about Ichiro’s trash talk about Korea being 30 years from being able to beat Japan. So with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth, it’s … Ichiro! Facing old AL West rival Chan Ho Park, who’s CLOSING! Park gets him out on a shallow fly to seal the upset.
Awesome game. Full of great moments like: When Ichiro was intentionally plugged leading off the seventh and was held on first the entire inning by Koo (Mets). When that Korean player made a spectacular catch on what would have been an extra base hit with the bases loaded and two outs. Ichiro would have scored from first, so that one catch kept a 2-0 game from going 5-0.
The coolest thing is that this game meant nothing in the tournament. They’re both advancing anyway. I hope it comes down to the two of them in the second round playing for a spot in the semis.
Yeah that was a great game! The Koreans came up with some great clutch hitting and fielding, and Ichiro being the last out just added to the drama. Venezuela vs DR is gonna be great on tuesday…even people against the idea of the WBC have to be fascinated by Santana pitching to a lineup consisting of Ortiz, Tejada, Pujols and co.!
Another fantasy baseball league… If anyone wants this should be a fun league. Stat categories (R, HR, RBI, SB, BB, AVG, OPS, W, CG, SV, K, HLD, ERA, WHIP ). and large rosters.
There is also the option to play for cash, the league has yet to decide so don’t let that scare you. It would be $10 max.
I need 6 more players. League id is (14372) and the password is (beer). I believe this link will get you there Yahoo
I didn’t see NY METS make nay comments about baseball, he just insulted us for being from the south (like that is an insult) Oh well
“I’ll take it as a compliment when you mention me—It shows I affected you that much you need to talk about me while IM gone and can’t defend myself, just so you can cope with your own short comings.”
Classic begging for attention, well I guess if that’s the attention you want, who is feeling sorry for who?
The word is that Kirby Puckett has suffered a stroke.
He hasn’t really looked good the past few years. I would say that he’s gained at least 75 pounds since he retired in ’96.
Does anyone know how the Braves vs Netherlands game went? i think its over, but i cant find a box score anywhere.
I’m convinced NY METS was no older than 15 years old.
ATL 4, NED 0 on mlb.com
Here’s a box: http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/boxscore.jsp?gid=2006_03_05_nedint_atlmlb_1
I’ll take the south over the state of New York any day of the week!
I haven’t read the previous posts, but “NY METS” doesn’t seem like the sharpest tool in the shed.
