One wonders, though, how much these comments are the product of media hounding, asking leading questions like “Leo and you didn’t really get along, did you?” over and over until they get the response they want to print.

I couldn’t agree more, Bell Curve. It’s not like the players seek out reporters saying, “Hey I have a comment! Would you quote me on this please?”

I must confess, I had no idea that my comments would cause such a fuss. Leo and I didn’t get along, it’s true, but I didn’t mean to imply that he’s not a good man. Leo’s a deeply caring, concerned, decent human bei–
OH MY GOD!! LEO, GET THAT SHOTGUN AWAY FROM MY DOG!!

True story:
a friend of mine actually got thrown out of a Braves game at Fulton County Stadium for leaning over one of the rails and pulling the head off of Homer the Brave. Those were the days of Andres Thomas and company….the most fun you could have at the game was harassing mascots. We used to hang around the bullpen and get autographs from the grounds crew. So lame. My friend and me, I mean. And Andres Thomas….

I don’t understand Mac’s post. I thought we were talking about BAD things that Leo had done. Throwing Homer in a woodchipper would be enough to make up for the negatives that we’ve heard about Leo.
I am a regular reader on bravesjournal and have terrible Braves related news totally unrelated to this topic. I just moved to the Bay Area and saw the Braves only make it out here once this year- for the Giants Season Opener and I am going to be out of town!!!!!
Also- does anybody know how watching baseball games on mlb.com- are they good quality- and can you watch them live?

Minor league question;
I mentioned here the other day about some minor leaguers taken in the rule 5 draft (Cole Armstrong, Iker Franco, etc.). My question is this: Does anybody know of any minor leaguers who were released from the organization?

the speed and connection of your computer will determine how well the quality of the broadcast. i have a dell (celeron processor) with cable modem and mine came in just fine. it is a little delayed, but not enough to make a big deal about it (maybe 10-15 seconds). i think it was a superb purchase. every game, every night for 80 bucks, can’t beat it. i do have a feeling that the price will go up this year, but not sure. catch it early and you receive spring training games free.

MLB.com worked great for me even on a cruddy DSL. I especially enjoyed watching a game on my couch on my laptop using the wireless card – amazing tech.

It looks as though Blank is a bit closer to buying the Braves

You do know that there was a person in there, right?
That would definitely make a difference.
What really happened to Homer? How many seasons was he a mascot?
I think we finally let Billy Joel know…Leo was the one that started the fire.
He also put the bomp in the bomp bah bomp bah bomp.
leo took my mom out for a nice seafood dinner, and then never called her again.
He also gets his clothes at the……toilet store.
Ryan, he also wrote the book of love.
Apologies to Smitty if you’re already on top of this, but our fantasy league now has 2 openings (the draft is Sun. so I figured I would bring it up).
It’s a Yahoo league: league ID# is 6029 and the password is smoltz.
I see where Leo bailed on the fantasy league.
What about moving Pena to first. He can’t throw, so he might be erfect!
As Big D stated

Smitty, Pena’s way too valuable to be moved to first–he’s our number 3 prospect. Trade him for Puljos!
Blank update
I know it’s not much, but it’s news.
