  1. I always WAS his biggest fan. Sweetest swing in the game, and while his World Series homerun is his most memorable moment, I’ll also never forget his great throw in the top of the ninth of Game 7 of the 92 NLCS to keep it a 2-0 game and make possible “The Comeback.” (Boy, that’s a sentence for the ages.)

A career .279/.378/.500 hitter, 128 OPS+. And my favorite player before he was traded.

  2. Why couldnt he be your fav player after he was traded also?

I still liked him alot even when he wasnt with the Braves

  3. It probably had nothing to do with Terence Moore-esque intangibles or mysterious clutch ability, but it’s worth noting that the Braves played in four World Series (winning one) in six years before they traded Justice. They’ve been to one (getting swept, by the way) in the six seasons since. I always liked Justice and I always will.

  4. One of my favorite Braves of all time, for one reason because he represents for me a transforming moment in Braves history. No, not the HR in the ’95 series, but the very tough decision in 1990 that Dale Murphy (and his era) was done. I loved Murphy, but going with the kid Justice was absolutely the right move and signaled a refreshing change in the way the organization did business, as well as highlighting the suddenly burgeoning minor league talent level.

My favorite Justice moment was the 2-run 9th inning shot in Cincinnati off Rob Dibble very late in the 1991 season, giving Atlanta a 7-6 win in a game that they trailed 6-0 after one inning. The most critical and improbable win in the first pennant-winning season of this great run.

  5. HI EVERYONE,
I AM FROM A BEAUTIFUL CARIBBEAN ISLAND AND IT IS MOST TIMES ODD FOR SOMEONE TO LOOK AT BASEBALL ESPECIALLY IF IT IS A GIRL. WELL DAVID JUSTICE WAS MY FAVOURITE PLAYER AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE. I LIVE HE STYLE , CHARISMA AND CHARM. I PRAY FOR GOD’S BLESSINGS FOR HIM.

AS WE SAY IT DOWN HERE: ONE LOVE
