Charlie Morton faces off against Kyle Harrison in game 2 of a 4 game series. Game time is 8:45 CT/9:45 ET. Charlie Morton’s ERA has risen to 4.47and it was a very respectable 3.83 just 3 weeks ago. Hopefully, Uncle Charlie and his curve shows up tonight.
Transaction a Day AA
I don’t understand the why to Jimmy Herget, but whatever.
Braves Lineup
The lineup choice is a little more interesting than today’s transaction as it could signify that the end is coming for Adam Duvall. While I’d be disappointed because he’s been so good against LHP, but Laureano is getting the nod tonight and that, at the least, is worthy of speculation.
Michael Harris will make his return tomorrow night and is already en route (or in) San Fran. I guess we will see who’s the unlucky one tomorrow. My guess is Eli White goes down and they let Duvall and Laureano duke it out for a few more weeks.

Give Charlie a lead and he barfs it right back.
Every single time.
And yet again after Morton grooves a nut high change up.
And the sad thing is if we make the playoffs Snitker will give him a playoff start due to his “experience”.
Well, that’s a “good” Charlie Morton start. Total tightrope walk, but we’re still in the game.
Plan A! Home runs and winning.
Travis comes through again! I could do without extra-inning games in the Pacific Time Zone, but if they’re winning games, I’ll take it, gladly.
It was kind of sad seeing Charlie and Max talking animatedly in the dugout and realizing they likely won’t be Braves next year. Sniff.
Yup, we got the good Charlie tonight… and I’d love to hear an explanation on that interference call in the 10th.
How do you begin to forget one humiliating loss? Two straight extra-inning road victories.
Some signs of life. But I’m not getting my hopes up until they get more than 12-games over .500.
I could get used to waking up at 5am and watching the Braves win in extras. Good for Chuck. I was surprised to learn that he is one of 89. That is truly special.
Especially given how his career started, getting to 2,000 strikeouts is pretty extraordinary. What a career he’s had.
I was really upset when we traded Charlie because I thought he was the first big game pitching prospect we’d had since Adam Wainright. I really like tall pitchers with good breaking stuff and life on the fastball. I was right about Charlie but wrong about how long it would take him to be any good. We’d have given up on him anyway before he put it together in his 30’s.
Despite only winning 3 of their last 10, Atlanta is just 6 games behind the Phillies, who have lost 4 in a row. If we just win at a clip approaching .600 going forward, we may be fighting for a division title. As bad as we’ve looked overall lately, I don’t think it’s as bad as Philadelphia.
