If I would’ve known that the Braves game would start and end in the top of the 1st, I would’ve just skipped the game thread! Luis Robert Jr. hit a solo homerun that ended up being the only run of the game. Needless to say, the pitching on both sides showed out and old friend Jared Shuster got the win, pitching the 5th, 6th, and 7th innings. Chris Sale was unjustly charged with a loss while only giving up 1 run, 1 walk, and striking out 11 in 7 full innings. It’s apparent that this team needs a few fresh faces in the lineup and I’m hoping AA gets started pretty quickly.
Injury Updates and Snitker’s Post-Game Interview
A.J. Minter will have an additional rehab appearance before joining the Braves and Ramon Lauereano is sidelined with a sore back.
Braves Lineup
I hope Uncle Charlie Morton shows up tonight.
Send Some Love to Christian
Christian does a lot for his community of Rock Valley, Iowa. A few weeks back, the city was bombarded by rain and several hundred houses have flooded. If you haven’t noticed, he’s been absent from the blog for a little while and that’s due to his love of his community and helping his people hands-on get back on their feet. You guys only know him from here, but he’s an extraordinary human that is repping Braves Journal in a big way.

Great job by Charlie. He was locked in tonight.
He was, and it’s nice to score a few runs.
But of course it’s Bummer that blows the shutout. He seems so much worse than a 3.90 era.
Gaudin talking about a record number of shutouts at Truist Park in a season.
And then Aaron Bummer happens. He’s not just lousy when he has inherited runners. Dude is just plain dreadful.
