Braves, Bucs – Game #1 will show the world how AA is a cheat code, recalling Ray Kerr to make his first start in Pittsburgh tonight.
Kerr was acquired in the off-season and has shone brightly in the ‘pen since being called up earlier this month. With Bryce Elder struggling, Kerr is being stretched our before our very eyes. He worked three and 3.1 innings in his last two appearances. The lefty has electric stuff and has a .964 WHIP in 9.1 innings in 2024.

Hoping Bailey falters
Pittsburgh counters with Bailer Falter. He is 2-2 with a 3.53 ERA thus far. And we may get our collective wish, that Bailey will falter, because the Braves lineup has had previous success against the young lefty. Albeit a small sample size, six Atlanta hitters have an OPS of greater than 1.100 or higher off Falter.
First pitch in Braves, Bucs – Game #1 is slated for 6:40 EDT/5:40 CDT.
In other news, the Braves today signed Joey Wendle to an MLB contract and sent Luke Williams back to AAA Gwinnett.

Sounds like tonight’s plan is to use him as an opener for a bullpen game, but do the Braves really think Kerr can be a six-inning starter going forward? He’s been terrific out of the pen, but does he have enough pitches to go through the lineup three times?
Seems like he doesn’t have enough pitches to go through twice, unfortunately.
Meanwhile braves getting no hit again.
Last year’s team was so good at scoring early, sucks to always have to come from behind.
Why is the TV picture downsized, Bally? Can we not afford to do HD now?
So Kerr and Vines are not the answer
DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED
Seems like the team is hungover today.
So what time does the game start tonight?
