Uncle Charlie Morton will face off against Tanner Bibee tonight at Truist, game-time 7:20 ET/6:20 CT. After last night’s win, the Braves have won 75% of their games, which is a remarkable feat considering…
So, the Braves are missing what was likely to be their best pitcher, their starting catcher, Ozzie Albies for 10 days AND Austin Riley, Matt Olson, Ronald Acuna Jr., and Tyler Matzek haven’t produced anywhere near their capabilities (albeit, Acuña’s OBP is .407) and their schedule hasn’t been a cake walk (Phillies, Diamondbacks, Rangers, Houston, Cleveland) and yet, they’re winning 3/4 of their games. It’s truly absurd.

Riley’s futility with runners in scoring position is becoming
concerning. Might be time to break up the out brothers and put Ozuna in between them.
There you go, JonathanF.
I’m jumping in here, too, Floyd…hopefully to get the boys off center. How many times has Ozzie led off tonight? At least three times? And how many more times will Riley and Olson kill a rally? All the times? Can’t possibly continue happening, but, at least we’d have OHzuna leading off the tenth with ghost runner if three & four come up empty again.
You just expect them to come from behind in every game. And sure enough, there they go.
I always dread bases loaded and no out for our offense because we seem to squander these spots.
(Edit. That was pathetic.)
Tromp in this spot, yikes. He is not an MLB player.
Chadwick Tromp hits like a Major League backup catcher. Some days he looks more like Francisco Cabrera at the plate; some days he looks more like Corky Miller.
You get what you get when you don’t convert anything on bases loaded and nobody out to win the game. Eventually the bats picking up our good hitters aren’t going to keep producing. Our “thunder” gets another shot here, let’s hope they can bust out
Pinch-running for d’Arnaud has turned into something of a disaster. We run into an out when we never would have with d’Arnaud, and then Chadwick Tromp is up in the game-breaking spot instead of Travis.
Any word on Murphy yet? What is his timetable to return?
