The Braves enter the series at 64-36, but are 3-7 in their last 10 while the Brewers come in at 57-46, but are 6-4 in their last 10. Tonight’s pitching matchup features the first start as a Braves for Yonny Chirinos. Enemy number 1 for Chirinos will be RHP Adrian Houser. Here’s how the Braves will line up for tonight:

Game 2: Bryce Elder vs. Julio Teheran
Game 3: Colin Rea vs. TBD
It’s worth noting that Darius Vines has been pitching well, is on the 40-man, and has built enough innings to pitch 4-5 in the bigs.
Sorry crew. Comment are on now.
Holy jeans, not even Chinos with Chirinos
These dumpster-dive pitching acquisitions have been as expected, lamentably. Three more days to take another stab, AA.
Ben Heller just became dfa candidate number 1
Heller is turning back into a pumpkin.
Yates did what we needed there. He has not been any kind of lights out, but he’s been more or less okay for a middle reliever.
Of all the things on my bingo card, I sure did not have Eddie Rosario turning back into a reasonably effective hitter. He’s got about an .800 OPS since May.
Going to be hard to ask the relievers to do a bullpen game on Sunday after burning through 6 relievers tonight. Might see AJSS called up to pitch Sunday simply because of a lack of other options.
Ryan mentioned Vines but he pitched yesterday.
Good win. I’ll get a recap up first thing ni the morning.
5 back-to-back homers so far by Riley/Olson. That’s the same as Ruth/Gehrig 1927.
However, the record is 8: Galarraga, Walker 1997
There are two 7’s: Bonds and Aurilia, 2001 (That was Aurilia’s only great season)
Bonilla and Palmeiro, 1996
There are also 5 6’s.
Would you do it?
