I grew up in a country music area in a rock / funk generation. I will try to pick a country standard with a connection the next time I use one.
Actually, my tiny home town used to have a stop on the country tours and they had George and many others about once every month or sometimes even a little more often. I saw Ray Stevens with the Masters Five there.

I don’t hate Billy Joel. Otoh, my son sent me the link to the song Manic Monday by the Bangles yesterday as a joke. That has to be one of the top 10 worst songs ever to hit the airwaves. Funny thing is it was written by Prince under the pseudonym Christopher. I can’t imagine any losing streak bad enough to be subjected to that song.
So we get to find out if Folty is really back to his old ways tonight or if his Triple A success was just a mirage. Either way, it’s more upside than Gausman’s 2 pitch arsenal.
