Davies continues to impress. Now if they could just bring up Chuck James for lefty relief and keep Betimet in the line up when Chipper returns they may be OK
Just as an aside, I was listening to the game on the way to eat dinner with my wife; when we got to the place, Marcus had just got his hit. I told my wife, well that’s all well and good, but we have Brian F’n Jordan hitting behind him so it’ll be a double play. (I understand having him in the lineup because a lefty is pitching, but would it be too hard to put Betemit in the 3 hole? He’s our hottest hitter recently) Cut to after the meal, getting in the car, first thing I hear “Jordan grounded into a double play his last time up.”
I hate being right.
On the other hand Davies really is pitching well, that double play he turned on the bunt was scary, but awesome at the same time.
It’s been really incredible the streak that the Marlins and Braves were on there for a while, whenever one of them would lose, so would the other. Tonight we don’t have room at all. If we don’t win we’re out of first.
Why can’t the Braves just put together a nice 20 run inning? Hell I’d take 3 runs now, sheesh.
