I feel cheated that the Braves were denied an outing against Darren Oliver. It’s not as sure a beating as Dave Burba, but it has to be close.
Yes, it appears the Kirk and Jim are brothers. Both from the Big Easy and attended the same HS there.
Jim Bullinger was a SS before the Cubs converted him to pitching. I saw him get tossed out of a game at the old Durham Athletic Park for arguing on a called third strike back in the late 1980s when he was a Cubs’ farmhand. A couple years later they made him into a pitcher and he milked about six big league years out of the deal.
