The worst bench in the history of Major League Baseball?

What with the DH, the Braves tonight have on their bench:

Eddie Perez (.216/.273/.275)
Mike Hessman (.125/.155/.232)
DeWayne Wise (.248/.267/.469)
Jesse Garcia (.245/.259/.321)

And Wise, the “best” performer of the bunch, is crippled. Ugh.

  1. I watched a lot of Minnesota Twins baseball in the mid-to-late 1970s and their benches sometimes looked a bit like this with Phil Roof and Joe Lis. They always seemed to have at least one good hitter, however.
