I will try to answer every one, or at least explain why I can’t. No promises how quickly. Remember that the Retrosheet Database does not include the current season, so all answers will be correct as of the end of the 2024 season. As a sample of the things you might usefeully ask:
- How many 2-6-2 double plays have the Baves turned? What about other teams?
- Is Spooneybarger-Saltalamacchia still the longest combined letters of a battery? Note: this is a joke. Spooneybarger never pitched to Saltalamacchia. But Saltalamacchia did receive pitches from a number of different 10-letter surnamed pitchers.
- When was the last time a Brave had 4 doubles in a game?
- What did Melky Cabrera hit with a 3-0 count in his time with the Braves? With everyone else?
Occasionally, it will be easier to answer a question with Stathead. I might use that instead and link the answer.
