It wasn’t the dominating offensive performance that we fans were craving to watch, but it was a win nonetheless and this team really needed it. Tonight’s game will feature Nick Pivetta and Chris Sale. If the Red Sox fall out of contention this year and go into sell mode, Pivetta would be a very interesting target for Alex Anthopoulos and the Braves. As of now, it looks like they’ll be at least 1 position to fill in the rotation next year and Pivetta checks a lot of the boxes that Charlie Morton currently checks. Snagging him at the deadline, then extending him in a deal similar to Reynaldo Lopez‘s deal makes a lot of sense.
The Braves now sit 3 games back of the Phillies. While the Braves have lost 6 of their last 10, the Phillies have won 9 of 10, but are on the verge of losing today. A Phillies loss and Braves win makes it 2. Oddly enough, the Braves won’t play Philly again until July 5th, which will be at home.

After finishing a single short of the cycle, Shea Langeliers is up to a .783 OPS for the A’s. Glad they’ve gotten one player out of all of their trades.
Let this be the first of many more 3-run HRs…
EDIT: And B2B shots as well.
It’s not just Ozzie’s arm, but his turns on double plays seem very slow too. I feel like Guillorme or Fletcher would have turned that DP.
