The author Charles Odum is a University of Georgia graduate. I worked with him on the UGA daily newspaper, The Red & Black. Great guy.

Thanks for the link to the article. I still wonder why major league pitchers continue to throw him anything near the plate. He’s clearly demonstrated a willingness to swing at anything he can reach, so why throw him a strike, or even a near strike?

Don’t worry, bmac, they’ll get around to it.
If I were a Braves opponent, I’d try to avoid A. Jones at all costs & make “Frenchy” hit “unhittable” pitches, especially early in the count. If he turns out to be Vladi, Roberto Clemente or Yogi Berra, God bless ’em.
