5/24/98: Yesterday was basically a total disaster. The Braves bullpen blew a four-run lead in the eighth and ninth innings (the first time this year the Braves lost a game when leading after seven) and lost in the eleventh. Worse, John Smoltz left the game after two innings and later had to go on the DL with a “sore elbow”; your guess is as good as mine what that means. Mark Wohlers was activated in his place.
