The Indians just sent DeRosa to St Louis for a reliever and a PTBNL. Atlanta should have beat that.
First of all, let’s reserve judgement on the DeRosa trade until we find out who the PTBNL is. I have a feeling it is a pretty damn good player. Secondly, Chris Perez is a future closer, a very good prospect/player. Third of all, it’s just Mark DeRosa. He’s a good utility player, but not much more.
In the past 8 games, Matt Diaz has a total of 4 PAs. Jeff Francoeur 26 PAs. Unacceptable.
