He stinks. Analysis to come tomorrow probably. No word on who will get the shaft but probably Vasquez or Boyer.

You’re probably right about who’s going down. I expect they’ll send Vasquez down, expecting that he’ll get more work in the minors than he would for Atlanta.
As for Brower, maybe Leo or Bobby saw something they think they can fix. If not, he can always be released later.
Brower’s stats scream “damaged goods”. I’ll cover this more tomorrow, but he was used very heavily last year and has shown a significant rise in his walk rate this year.
That’s a fair analysis. Although perhaps it’s just fatigue, as in Reitsma being overworked last year and tiring towards the end of the season. Of course, if that’s the case, we wouldn’t want to throw him directly into the fray either.
i missed the start of tonight’s game. have the bravos announced who is being sent down to make room for brower?
6.53 ERA.
Yeah, that’s just what we need in a reliever.
Someone with a lower ERA than the current staff will be welcome.
Wright sucked when we picked him up to.
The rookies are not really punished when they are sent down, They get a taste of treat, and hopefully become hungry for more.
I disagree Mac. I think Brower will be ok for the Braves once they get his issues fixed.
His walk rate is up about 11% this year over the previous two years combined, but that can also account for the fact that his era this year is almost double what it was last year.
If you look at each game he’s pitched this year, I saw he got hammered in his first two outings this year:
1 1/3 IP 4 ER 4 BB
It doesn’t appear that he ever got it going .. and has been inconsistent. A few good outings, gets roughed up, then a few more good outings. These are the pitchers Leo fixes. I have to think no matter what happens he’s 10x better than what the Braves have in the bullpen right now.
It looks like his strikeout to inning ratio improved significantly this season. Make of that what you will.
